Azrael. Your listing of the people that you think are smart is interesting. But i think you make a mistake, by not taking the personal preferences and the desires into your equation.
If Pete Hines desire would be to chill out, but he cannot accomplish it, because he had to regulate Bethesda's marketing, then we can say that he is not so smart.
If Angry Joe desires to play computer games, to chill with his Bro Joe and to live like Cheech and Chong, and earn his money with this. (And he accomplishes this.) Then he would be smarter, than Pete Hines.
Azreal if you want, we can discuss the Stern-Gerlach experiment and its meaning. But does this make us smart? I don't think so.
Look i'm arguing if an meaningless hombre, that entertains me from time to time (like Bozo) is smart or not. Instead of arguing about the Pauli exclusion principle and the spin of electrons. Is this smart?
Do not confuse Inteligence (as in IQ), Smartness-Cleverness (as in achiving personal goals) and Education (as in academic degree). (This things are much more difficult and complex than i have indicated.)
In germany there are many people in higher positions, which have lower IQ than their subordinates and have no academic degrees. And in the world there are many people with academic degrees, doing lesser work.
