I expect at least half a million to buy it on release is what I'm saying.Roguey, you know that DayZ had an all-time concurrent peak at 45k? Do you really expect PoE to top that considering DayZ was a top-seller for half a year now?
Those were brought to you by Nvidia, mate... you know the hardware company that does not have their GPUs powering the current gen consoles.Gamespot in general is becoming pretty awesome site, there has been PC gaming focused article like every day recently.
That would be splendid, yes. Let's hope your prediction is correct.I expect at least half a million to buy it on release is what I'm saying.Roguey, you know that DayZ had an all-time concurrent peak at 45k? Do you really expect PoE to top that considering DayZ was a top-seller for half a year now?
9/10 on gamespot

He raves about some weird things (like making magical star fish) but a 9 is a 9. Gratz Larian (and the future of proper RPGs)
Gamespot said:Some idiosyncrasies aren't flaws, however, but rather reminders of how often we expect games to ask of us the simplest questions and then provide us easy answers. How do you find the forest where the White Witch lives? You go out into the world and you find it. How do you locate all the door-opening switches in an immense library? You look for them, you investigate, you open your eyes wide and truly take in the space around you. Little by little, you learn the rules--and little by little, you wonder why there are so few games so willing to trust you to examine and explore.
My prediction was slightly-off by a week. It didn't hit a peak yesterday and definitely won't today.Actually, you said that last week, right before it reached its all-time peak, my dear.

21k at the moment. This weekend didn't hit 20,000+ concurrent players like last weekend, and it's only downhill from here, another correct prediction from Roguey.

I disagree.A game like Dark Souls 2 likely sold about 500k copies in its first month on PC, and that has a lot more "mainstream appeal" than PoE.
I'm not sure it has more appeal, but it has a lot more brand momentum, so yeah you'd expect day 1 sales to be higher.

Quakecon is this weekend, so beth is promoting all their games a bit extra, hence the sales.Hmmm. First Dishonered: Legendary Edition. Now Skryrim: Legendary Edition. This cannot be a coincidence. What is Bestahada up to? More sales to get some money? No.....
Doesn't matter. More sales is more sales. And, D;OS has the bonus of being a game in a series that has been able to sell million+ copies. For all we know, all the people who bought D:OS are just repeat customers of DD. Yet, people make a big deal about. DD sold a mil+ copies so D:OS should be able to do the same within the first week because we all know Larian is so awesome that everyone loves their games and scoops them up.
So.. why has DOS onyl sold 250k and not a mil+?
Sold a million yet? No? Fail. Divine Divinity is still more popular game.
