Ahem,

Chayots SUCK
Fyi, for the same investment as 2 Chayot SCs, you can get a golem wish engine running. Golem, being mindless, is immune to horror marks and attacks from AC and Cataclysm. 4 empowerments, coin, skullcap, and ring of sorcery combined is 350 pearls and 10 E gems. Nexus Gate is 40 pearls. Wish is 80 with the Nexus discount. Totaling at most 480+10, compared to 444 of 2 Chayot chassis alone. Each cast of Wish will give a profit of 65 non-pearls, which is enough for a kitted Tart or an immortal chassis.

Chayot is pretty much a larp summon, yep.

Seraph is so much better honestly. At least can use all magic paths and crosspaths he has...

FUUUUCKING HOBBITSES

Wrath of God doesn't work underwater or in caves. Agartha's proven Vault Tech labs prove their worth.

IT'S STILL KILLING STUFF FUCKING HOBBITSES

Golems are not MAGNIFICENT enough.

The advice is solid, though, thanks.

Did you know that they added new Doom Horrors in Dominions 6? I didn't!

But HOW are you supposed to defend against THAT monstrosity? Hundreds of chaff and some super combatants? What would your arm them with? And a fort won't stop that particular beast.

I once managed to murder one of the Broken Seal Legion of Gods with an setup of a few hundred chaffs and some super combtants and even then I was crossing my fingers.

You're not. Cataclysm is supposed to be an end-game countdown.

I do not think Scabiel is particularly impossible for a lategame army. He is a monster but again there are worse Doom Horrors and his resistances are kind of mediocre. 20+ mages spamming Frozen Heart could technically kill him (CR5!) but who knows with Dominions schizo casting AI.

Not that it would work with our version, it's Blind with two Eyes of Innocense (+80 stealth with no base stealth) and a Heart of Quickness. We're lucky it's blind (halves movement) because this little cute giant thingie would combat move 28 in standard combat and like 44 in high magic, and strikes twice per turn with its incredibly cute 25/50 area attack (undodgeable) and 4 50+ damage Horror Claws. Yeah, bring mage support and I don't think my armies are kitted to deal with this fuck, the quickness means it will melt through chaff instantly.

It DOES like kinda cute.

It's an age-old shitpost and it's terrible but it still makes me laugh.

Scabiel landed on my 2-pointer and is seemingly moving toward another 2-pointer. Kurgi also landed near my 3-pointer this turn. Either will end the game if they reach their goals. Premature congratulations to Piconye/Optimist. My special thanks to Gath/Malakal for suffering the game.
The doomies are beatable but the problem is their appearance is random. Unless someone have a legion of moon blade wielding golems ready, it is very costly to deal with them with super AC in the background.

I'm not entirely sure my army is up to fight a Quickness Scabiel but that's not going to stop me trying. Also those 200+ Soultorns were amusing

Agartha is uniquely equipped for that fight, the masses of mindless chaff joined by non-MR high-dameg bursts like Evocations worked like a charm with limited losses.

I'm at peace so I had several turns of planning. Basic problems of Cataclysm:

- Forget resupply of any kind of high-powered summon or item. Forging or casting 10 Gems rituals is a one-way trip in most cases, and you must plan to do so (for example, Carrion Reanimation now requires at least 20 gems and two Reanimators, one for forging the D booster and one for the Reanimation and both can get Horror'ed)
- You need to have spammed everything you needed beforehand and hope.
- Doom Horrors are complete RNG. There isn't a defensive configuration that works reliably on all of them and some require different builds. So it's complete RNG.

What I did not expect:

- The constant random horror marks and ++magic scales event, that one I forgot about. I have a Drain dominion so I expected a reprieve, but the constant event is skyrocketing everything to Magic 3 (making horrors even more powerful) and I lose 4-5 mages every turn to random Horror Marking. Piconye's awful globals do not strike me as much having transferred all my research corps underground, but I legit wonder what kind of insane grind is mauling everyone else above.

The fact that some of you guys are keeping up offensive operations in such an environment is nothing short of praise-worthy.
