Envy will throw, can't help it.

But to be honest, fata and misery are pretty shit compared to sing/aui2000/whoever else they had before.

Sing is a great player and all, but he's more of a pubstar than a competitive player. FATA is the real deal IMO, much more consistent.

Aui2k is probably better than Misery, but that doesn't take away from the fact that Misery is pretty great too and a Dota 1 veteran. Misery had many big plays against Secret, he basically won mid for his team by courier sniping and/or camping mid lane.

Misery did pretty well. He enabled the early game advantage for C9 with his ganks and the courier snipe. Seriously, how many snipes did you see in DAC?

Unfortunately they lost to themselves. Every tiny mistake or pickoff they suffered let Secret come back. Still, they showed what they can do in game 1. Being that this is their first tournament on the new roster, I hope they stay together and go for it again at TI5.

I predict VG 3-1 EG

pizzaface mid, super saiyan offlane, handsome support duo and friendly german ogre just can't be beaten

I missed the Winter Wyvern stuff. Not a very big fan of th hero from dota1 though. Would've preferred Arc Warden or Pitlord.

I think VG's got this too. Iceiceice has probably had the best performance of the tournament (along with Zai). Black is also (IMO) a better carry than Fear and Fenrir/Fy are far more experienced together than Aui/PPD. Maybe Sumail will wreck though, and PPD does sometimes pull out amazing drafts.

He's really good, just hard to play well. Basically like Io, pubs won't pick him but I think he'll be picked a lot in competitive. Of course he'll be nerfed before they enable him in CM though.

This TA-Troll combo could go HAM if Sumail can make up for all the shit that's going to rape his refraction charges.

EG gets way outplayed at 27:30ish in Game 1. Lots of baiting and kiting of Sumail.

EDIT: Wow. FIght at 34 minutes is like the Na'Vi wraparound.

That ember pick didn't work out at all. Rubick played so good, but everyone got BKBs and their only damage was SF.

Hope we get some Merlini casts.

Well, you saw that big fight right? Tide got double ravage on like 3+ heroes and it didn't matter. They had tons of ways to heal people up.

Yeah, that wrap around was so good. They got hit by the huge ravage, but because they came from behind Black didn't do anything during it. If Black was in position for that it was probably GG.

Damn USA is raping. Gotta agree with Synderen, why didn't VG punish their AM with their trilane.

Looking like Arteezy/Zai committed a negative million dollar backstab. :M

VG played horribly compared to yesterday. what happened?

In other news, Fy-god confirms Black will NOT be kicked from VG (12:44)

Just saw the grand finals, VG really underperformed (if that's even a word). FY rubick was really good in the first 2 games, but that was it. Bad drafts, bad plays, bad deicions.. So bad. I can't believe EG won this.

Well it wasn't a big play like that one, it was just Black being too far away to follow up iceiceice's double ravage. They would have crushed that fight if he was closer. I'm not sure it's Black's fault either, the smoke was a surprise and he had no blink. But if he had managed to requiem those 3 people that got ravaged they would have won for sure.

All in all, I'm pretty happy with EG finally winning something really big - I like Fear and the dude worked damn hard for many years to get some good players in a stable roster. Glad that Aui joined them too.

re: Secret and Arteezy/Zai, I think it's highly questionable that they would dump a stable, friendly roster to join a team that has no problem instantly kicking members it thinks are underperforming. But then again, these are kids with inflamed emotions and shit.

Alliance lost two games in a row to London Conspiracy (LC) and Loda immediately wrote "Nothing to say... I give up." on Twitter.

Alliance is finished. They got completely outplayed and shitter shattered by a tier 3 stack of Greeks. It's amazing just how quickly Alliance imploded. Bulldog saw the writing on the wall and bailed out just in time.

TI winner curse status:
Na'vi : only two of it's original roster remains, mediocre performance for the last two years. Surviving mostly because of dendi
IG: barely tier 1, hasn't won anything in years. Punching bag for better chinese teams in lans.
Alliance: On the verge of disbanding
Newbee: hahahahahahahahahahaha oh wow

Burning is coming back to IG, not that it matters now but you never know.
EG played out of their minds in the finals and the draft from ppd were perfect. They completely deserve this win. Secret needs to have more than one strategy for TI5 :p .

Also a new update is coming with Wyvern and CM arcana, frozen style.
