Now that the dust has settled, and chilltoad has pushed an emergency patch to nerf the worst outliers (fuck you gyro), how do you feel about the new meta?

Bonus question: Why was dota 6.80 (2014 new bloom patch: the DK centvoker global rape train meta) the greatest and most balanced era of dota history?

Bloodseeker is such a strong hero early game, but I have no idea what to build midgame... It feels like he really falls off damagewise, but I also need enough durability to survive a few hits with my debuff on. I usually get shadow blade and sange, but it's rather underwhelming and I still lack the ability to solo kill people, even if they're underleveled.

I've been experimenting with euls and playing as a jungling support, but it's not terribly effective and seems like a waste.

Like with pretty much every other hero it really depends on draft and how game develops. Though even if enemy team always carries TPs and you are forced to go for solo kills (or your team lacks interrupts) i'd still go for mjolnir, since if you are RNGesus incarnate you might actually get a kill, otherwise you'll just open up a map for yourself to farm (and mjol gonna help with that quite a bit).

New radiance is pretty sick against right-click heavy lineups too.

An early Blademail is one of the best items you can get on Bloodcyka. It doesn't solve the TP out problem, but I don't think BS is necessarily a solo pickoff hero outside of very low level pubs. With +1 on your team you can kill pretty much anything and get out safely, and the item is good for a long time before the other cores get BKBs.

If you wanna do the solo pickoff gamble then Dagon really isn't bad, despite what you might think. Max level Bloodrage + dagon 5 is no joke.

I found something even better: medallion into solar crest

The evasion is an amazing buff to add onto an already bloodraged teammate, and having the armor makes me tanky enough to dive towers confidently. I can also cast it on enemies to compensate for my lack of damage items. Being able to play extremely aggressively with just 3000 gold is invaluable for BS.
After that I build sange to keep my opportunities open, usually I'll build into sny, but depending on the lineup, halberd or silver edge. I feel like this is the most versatile build that has the right amount of damage and tankiness.

My skill build is to max silence and thirst, with two points in blood rage at 1 and 3 just so I can jungle if I need to. I don't really find high level bloodrage that useful early game.

edit: I just realized after 6 games that you can just bloodrage a creep and then kill it instead of bloodraging yourself and losing hp to harass. How did I not think of this sooner...

Solar Crest is an awesome item, but it's more situational than blademail in most games and more of a support item. Blademail is a man-up item, especially against high magic burst, which Crest doesn't do anything about. Anyway, part of the fun of Dota is making builds work, so more power to you if you're doing it!

And yeah, bloodraging creeps instead of yourself is the key for early jungle Bloodseeker, otherwise you just die.

I'm digging that Winter Wyvern is getting picked up in a lot of games. I really like the hero.

In other news, pretty surprising no team in the qualifiers is giving Naga a try. I'm pretty sure that will be one of EG's main weapons at TI5. Hero was indirectly buffed a lot through items - namely Octarine Core and the new BoT upgrade.

http://www.reddit.com/r/DotA2/comments/37zfjc/brax/

I've been following the pro scene for ~2.5 years, and one of the players that caught my eye was Brax. Brax seemed like a pretty intelligent guy and I was very interested in LGD.Int. Seeing them fall apart over time was a pretty sad thing to see.

However, i kinda kept watching Brax beacuse he seemed like a player with much potential.

However, lately i've become kinda worried about Brax. I saw his most recent foto (at JD) and was pretty shocked. He looked pretty dire.

Here are some photo's of Brax his progress over the year:

When he was in LGD.Int (the beginning)

When he was in Na'vi Us (after his LGD.Int time)

When he was in summoner's rift (most recent pic)

As you guys can see Brax hasnt been taking care of himself and I'm worried about his health.

I'm not trying to shitpost or anything, i just hope Brax notices this post and starts taking care of himself again, so he can become the sexy devil he used to be when he was in LGD.Int.

brax's transformation reminds me of Theon Greyjoy.

ASSFAGGOTS: not even once.

No, they won't. Secret has been wasting their top strats to win minor tournaments while rest of the big teams are saving the big guns for TI5. I don't think Secret will make it past the semi-finals.

That's precisely what happened last year. No one thought the Chinese teams would win but they surprised everyone with shit they had saved for TI.

I'm pretty sure DK were the clear favorites to win TI4, with IG being second after demolishing EG at ESL frankfurt. You're right about VG and Newbee though. Xiao8 and ROTK are the X factor.

Nobody can predict The International though. The favorite teams never win.

On the other hand;

When Navi won, they had been dominating both western and eastern teams two months prior to TI.
The same for Alliance when they won (and Navi, who placed 2nd).

Secret is my favorite to win this.
