But how will we know? Nobody on the Codex is going to even waste bandwidth removing from inventory,
You don't spend much time on the Codex, do you? Everyone will play it for 7 times, and THEN they will declare it shit.

That was for DA:O, I'm pretty sure half the forum are alts of the one guy who survived Dragon Age 2. And I mean Matt Barton.

I enjoyed DA:O at first, but the game just dragged on and on and the annoying shit just got to be too much and I wasn't enthralled by the storyline at all. It's a typical generic "unite the lands to defeat the great evil" Bioware shit.

I honest to satan that I played the DA2 demo for about 10 minutes before I uninstalled it. Nope, just nope. It was completely removed from even the pseudo IE successor DA:O was pretending to be.

I managed to beat DA:O once, even though the crisis I had during the Orzammar part. In DA2 I never made it past Act I.

Hell, I didn't even finish the second one, and I liked the first and hate not finishing games.

“We think the game was probably a little too difficult for the general gamers at that time. We’re going to make it more accessible and make sure that it’s really done for the new generation that’s come into videogames.”
:( I really liked BG&E. Sad to read that they think this is somehow a good idea. And it was no more difficult than your average Zelda 3D, what the fuck?

Since they referenced AssCreed and Prince of Persia, it probably means dropping all stealth stuff and make it a more straightforward action title.

and considering Jade is revealed to be a superheroine at the end of the first game, it would actually kinda make sense.

Heh, i was thinking to buy DA2 day one but after playing that brliilant demo i made up my mind and decided to "try" it on my PC. Waste of hard disc space... Completed it once and uninstalled.
Funny part is my girlfriend bought me DA2 as a birthday present and PS3 version which don't have an auto attack feature for 2 months ..... Even funnier part is my PS3 game shop didn't want to trade that "thing", telling me no one wants to buy or trade it.(LOL)
Long stroy short, DA:O is medicore, Awakenings is horrible, messy, buggy and DA2 is shite. DA3 will be medicorely horrible at best.

DAO except being light on C&C and having a few NPCs I hated (like this whiny Alice BTW Why the only Mannish Men in Bioware games are Dwarves and Arabs and other Xenos? Racism I tell You) was decent good for it was (classic Bio RPG) game. Second time despite having somewhat less Epic story was dumbed down, consolitarted and cheaply made. I soldiered on to 2 acts cause didn't had nothing to play then and uninstalled. Waste of bandwith and time +M should sue them for emotional damage after seing those pedophile romance cutt scenes on Jew Tube. :troll:

We should be getting some new info this weekend. I really wonder how they managed skills&spells. HoMM6s only good part is giving Might heroes lots of active skills so i'd like to see some that kind of stuff. But i hated that we gain spells same way.

How is the class system in DAII? I hear it's improved over DAO, with actual ability trees and specialisations.

Well everything is an impovement over DAOs skill line up :) DA2 is skill tree while OKish, still need some work. It has less active skills than Origins and mainly they look alike, you still need follow a path but now there are passives around trees that enhances stances/skills. Most of the skills are OK and usefull somewhat, unlike Origins which have some filter/non-usefull spells/sklills or little effect passives. I hate to admit but i really enjoy playing a Force mage, such a crowd control freeak with AoE pushes and pulls with a nice AoE slow.
Companions have limited options than PC though, 2 handers dont have shield skills or crossbow rogues don have dagger/sword skill and vice versa.
Specailtons are mainly same again with absence of arcane warrior and ranger. Also there is no ranged option for fighters.

I don't have a problem with this as long as you can make distinct builds within 2H warrior path or crossbow rogue path etc. The big problem with DA:O class system was that, outside of the mage class, there was barely any customisation. All 2H warriors were the same, all archers were the same etc., with specialisations providing only so much flavour.

Why do you need shield skills for 2H anyway?[/quote]

You want to You know choose the specialization for your NPCs? Nope it is too complicated for AWESOME crowd. Axed. You were not even allowed to give them loot in DA2 neither etc... since when streamlining the skill tree, removing attributes, MMO like numbers inflation and giving player less options is praised on :rpgcodex: ?

Huh? I didn't argue for streamlining, I said it'd be nice if there are variations within a specific weapon style (2H, crossbow etc.) which were absent in DA:O.

DA2 drastically increased the amount of active abilities rogues and warriors got. Yeah, mages had fewer active options, but that was a result of getting rid of outright bad and overpowered spells and turning the spells-that-made-previous-spells redundant into upgrades.

Each companion already has his/her own unique specialization tree. Except your siblings who get one of yours after act 1.

Sure you could. Just not armor. Or weapon in Varric's case.

They'll probably show something without showing anything. Like: FROM TEH CREATORS OF BG... THE MOST EPIC SAGA CONTINUES... IT'S COMING... IT IS... <5 seconds of cgi>, <epic chorus>.

The first thing we'll see of this game is a CG blur trailer that has nothing to do with the actual game/graphics/gameplay.
