I know Obsidian and Bioware are on friendly terms, but I'm not sure what either of them thinks about those upstarts in Poland.
Josh liked The Witcher, bought Witcher 2 (but I don't think he ever played it) and Patrick K Mills moved there to work on Cyberpunk. Feargus Urquhart played Witcher 2 for about five hours, probably just to get a feel of what the competition was doing.

you either love it or hate it.

Ladies, gentlemen and trannies ... it is in Beta. Release date 30 June. Can Codexia muster the strength to destroy this abomination before it is sommoned into existence, or will the Biowarean Hype Behemoth prevail and lure millions of tender young souls to a life of biodronery?

The lack of any Valkyria Chronicles game makes me sad. Oh well. Nothing on that list is anything I have any interest in.

Notice how all of the unannounced release dates and rumored titles have June 30th? That's the end of the quarter, and is generally used by retailers to say that they think it's coming out by then.

Of course it's not. :) They've even said they're shooting for a late 2013/early 2014 release date. They're not even going to show it off until "spring" at the earliest. Weak trolling.

Maybe it's fake, but I hope it isn't - I want Beyond Good&Evil 2.
You probably just have to wait until the next gen/current gen consoles are released. From what I've read about it I'm not too excited about it though.

Beyond Good & Evil 2 is in an "active creation stage", creator Michel Ancel has confirmed, but reiterated the game was unlikely to launch during the current console generation.

"We won't make promises that we can't keep," Ancel said in a interview (translated by NeoGAF) conducted at the end of last year. "We are in an active creation stage and at this moment we are only focusing on the game and making it the best game that we can."

A decision to focus on a specific console "just distracts us from that objective", Ancel continued. "I can say that it's a very ambitious game and we need some tech to achieve that ambition."

"We focus on the game. We create it first, then we'll see what can run it. We don't say 2013 because we don't know when it will come."

Beyond Good & Evil 2 was first announced back in 2008. Leaked in-game footage showed a third-person parkour sequence similar to DICE's Mirror's Edge. But DICE's first-person free-runner is definitely not an influence on Beyond Good & Evil 2, Ancel assured.

"We had this concept even before Mirror's Edge launched. And we have a different approach to the first person perspective that Mirror's Edge has. Prince of Persia and Assassin's Creed are closer to what we have in mind with the control of the character in a third person perspective.

"We use a very dynamic camera that shakes a lot during the action to add life to the camera giving the impression of an action news cover team following Jade. Maybe that could be similar to Mirror's Edge but the game itself is very different," Ancel concluded.

The environment of that third-person footage looks similar to a new screenshot posted by AllGamesBeta. It shows a figure, presumably heroine Jade, once again equipped with her Daï-jo combat staff.

Ubisoft plans to make the sequel to Beyond Good & Evil more “accessible” than its predecessor, in order to avoid the commercial shortcomings endured by the original.

2003′s Beyond Good & Evil garnered strong critical reception and found a loyal fanbase made up of core gamers, but it didn’t exactly light up the sales charts.

Ubisoft chief exec Yves Guillemot told Next-Gen at its Ubidays event in Paris that this time around, the company will try to leave little to chance.

“We saw with Beyond Good & Evil that so many customers were extremely happy with the game,” said Guillemot. “We had a different audience at that time. We had more core gamers than casual gamers than we have today.

“We think the game was probably a little too difficult for the general gamers at that time. We’re going to make it more accessible and make sure that it’s really done for the new generation that’s come into videogames.”

Ubisoft announced the sequel to Beyond Good & Evil this week by offering up a trailer. No solid game details have been revealed, although we know it’s being designed by Michel Ancel, the brains behind the original.

A release date has yet to be determined.

The original revolved around a photographer named Jade who finds herself knee-deep in conspiracy on planet Hillys.

But how will we know? Nobody on the Codex is going to even waste bandwidth removing from inventory, or if they do, won't get past 5 minutes of innovation. I say nominate LP 'volunteers' at random with bans for anyone who refuses?

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
I will buy it when it's in the bargain bin. DA2 wasn't as awful as I thought it would be (which isn't saying much) and an overall improvement over the first one.

You don't spend much time on the Codex, do you? Everyone will play it for 7 times, and THEN they will declare it shit.
