So I found out why people bitch about first 10-15 hours in the game. Apparently, the first big are, Hinterlands, is really Skyrim-like in the sense of endless chore. But you can leave the area quite soon. The way it works, is that you have to build inquisition power by completing shit in certain area - once you have enough power, you can unlock plot/next areas. They let you wander between areas, it's even necessary since you can't beat the dragons without levelinp up properly (unless you play like casual difficulty or something). Also, I read reports there's a lot of dungeons/hiddenplaces in this game.

I'm ready to be called a fag, retard or worse for it, but I liked Jack's romance on Mass Effect 2.
Yeah, ravishing her on the table below the engineroom and never talking to her again was the best romance evah! Choices and consequences bitches!

But seriously, blocking you from the real romance by that was a neat idea, even though the full package reminded me a lot of Viconia. Which is a good thing. Definitely one of the better romances to crawl out of Bioware's brain, even considering that THAT bar isn't really high.
Too bad she didn't like gurrrls.

What I find strange is the lack of games where your character is a sidekick.
I really liked the mission in Skyrim's Dragonborn DLC, where you were pretty much the sidekick of that awsome Telvanni wizard. A refreshing approach to the usual "U r the chosen 1!!! go save world you mighty stud!" that has become the norm. Marketing must have found out that players need to feel like a demigod to distract them from their miserable lives...
But maybe I am just treasuring this quest so high because I could only play it once. After that my game went bonkers and no quest ever advanced.

Good thing I didn't spend money on it...

"Dragon Age: Inquisition’s greatest achievement is its writing

"In this game, BioWare has delivered characters who feel real. They feel real because the writing team, headed up by David Gaider, managed to write them that way. Writing is something BioWare has always done well, but here, the team has excelled, filling an expansive world with stories, ideas, words and people who, together, create an immense fictional entertainment."

I don't even.

It's polygon, don't even give them hits. They just write articles for click bait.

Oh my God - must we do this every time?

If I had not already decided there was NO REALITY where I would purchase this game - I would be worried.

An article going on about game world and story. Not a lot about whether it is a decent game.

"If you're going to spend a hundred hours with a bunch of people, you'd better enjoy their personalities." Not true in BT1, LoX, Grimrock or a lot of RPG.

"It helps that the issues at stake in this world are interesting in and of themselves. They may be presented in fantasy gobbledygook about chantries and elixirs and the end of the world, but they are really about belief and belonging, self-doubt and individuality." Oh God, I am going to be sick.

I laughed out loud when Myles in Wizardry 8 shouted out in the middle of combat "Oh my God, I am blind. There goes my career as a thief" or something similar. It does not take much for me to be invested in my party, a lot of that is based on how they grow, not only whether they have a 20 hours fully voiced back story.

Apparently they have managed to ditch or hide better the Endless Corridors of Sameness?

Won't get i - no chance. But will keep an eye out for user reviews.

Actually, no I won't.

I completely agree. With Inquisition Bioware is diligently crafting an immersive, unique, original story that has never been told before in Western entertainment. Observe.

Main plot of the game: the world is suddenly invaded by a bunch of ugly dark monsters and it's up to one guy/gal/tranny hailing from humble origins to become the Chosen One and save the world by killing the biggest baddest monster.

The Elder One: "Haha! After ten thousand years, I'm free! It's time to conquer... Thedas!"

Bioware: "Gaider, the Elder One has escaped. Recruit nine ridiculous SJW stereotypes with attitude. And giant horns!"

Go Go Inquisition! Lalalalala.

Similar quality is invested in the main characters of the story. For instance,

Iron Bull is a high-ranking member of a Catholic-style quasi-religious militant organization led by someone purpoted to be the Chosen One of the Maker and supposed to save Thedas from a demonic invasion. He is also a high-ranking spy for the Qunari leadership, who are against the Maker and seek to invade Thedas and abolish all existing organizations/religion. He does not hide his role as a double agent, and even asks the player if he can send secret Inquisition reports to the Qunari, in exchange for secret Qunari documents. The player does not have the option to execute/expell him for treason against the Inquisition.

Vivienne is a connoisseur of fashion, placing beauty above function. Caring more about her outward appearance than protection, Vivienne is always found in the finest silks and jewels. Her rich wardrobe and appreciation of fashion speaks of her station, being dubbed "the jewel of the high court of Orlais,, where she serves in an advisory capacity to the empress. That was a quote from Bioware. They openly admit that this character places fashion and appearance above being useful.

Dorian is a crossdressing gay with a pencil mustache. That's his character.

Cole is an adorable woobie demonic spirit from the Fade who was a serial killer at the mage tower... wait, what? Apparently, he is the autistic SJW stereotype and does not understand... pretty much anything about people, being equally motivated by murdering and "helping" people. At least you have the option of not letting him join your organization, although I'm pretty sure you can't actually fight and kill him.

I've heard that DAI ends on the same note as ME1, you defeat the big bad and then it goes "there's still much stuff to do any many threats that remain, to be continued..." or something like that. After ME3's ending anal rupture debacle I doubt they are going to make the same mistake again by hyping it up as an end of a trilogy.

Where really isn't much of an overarching story to warrant the title of trilogy let alone a conclusion to a series of event. Origins makes it seem that the Darkspawn and their corrupted old god masters are the overall theme. But DA2 only touches on those things in the prologue and first chapter. The rest of the game has you faffing around sticking your nose in everyone's else's business until the Mage-Templar dispute boils over into revolt. Inquisition appears to follow on with that. Unless this event that everyone is being coy about and refusing to spoil changes everything brings the story back to old gods and the like.

That didn't stop them from calling the Mass Effect series a trilogy. The second entry had nothing to do with the first and the third was an hamfisted unnecessary ending to the first. Every entry was pretty much a reboot with the amount of retcons and changes in theme, tone and focus.

Oh I understand your confusion my children. In a world, where there's a game made by BioWare yet it's not a garbage, everything could be possible. Such world is interfering with our basic beliefs, nothing is certain anymore. And it hurts, I know, it always hurts to question opinions you had for granted. It's in our nature to fight something, which threatens the very principles of our lifelong knowledge, and thus our existence. The weaker among us will learn to hate the game, they will convince themselves it is bad and that everything is still according to their beliefs... But could it be?! Is it possible that Dragon Age: Inquisition is not a shitty game? And if so, is Codex ready for this unexpected turn of events?

I will leave you now, to reflect on all I have said...

Indeed. She gave off such a dyke vibe with the shaved head, loose pants and tattoos. But as I approach her with my femshep to munch some carpet, she goes all "I tried that before, but I don't do it no more"... Made me start over as male shep.

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
That music...
...is pretty fucking bad...

It's horrible, almost as bad as

That trailer starts off great as a teaser actually. The music is excellent and builds up anticipation, the art and animation are good as well and you're thinking "maybe this is gonna be a great game after all..." Then you get the shitty white background and Manson starts singing. It's like going home expecting to find a birthday party and a couple of hot strippers only when you open the door you find that a drunk naked david gaider broke into your house and is shooting projectile diarrhea into your fish tank.

Big fucking difference. Buy your $1000 graphics card now or else suffer epic downgrades in visual fidelity lol.

So the shiny poop-hair is the only difference? They could've at least thrown FPS counters into the comparison for some trivia value.
