"YOU'RE BREAKING THE NDA!"
What a colossal faggot lmao, imagine defending a corp

A NDA is a sacred pact between man and corporate. It must never be broken.

It is alway funny when the “eat the rich” crowd go to bat for billion dollar corporates.

Just remember, when the game journos start screaming, "WHY DO YOU CAAARRRRREEEE?!?", they're the ones who:

-Demanded a game set in 1500s bohemia contain copious Africans, specifically as the product of mass rape

-Said a game was racist because it was made by Chinese people and based on classic Chinese mythology

-Were highly offended that a female MC was pretty and had big tits

They're the ones who "care" and demand everything cater to their weird fetishes. We just want things to be normal again.

inXile twitter account has been going crazy putting out super passive-aggressive messages supporting Veilguard and dunking on chuds.
It confounds the senses that this is the game these dumbfucks are going to bat for; it's neither a mediocre RPG, nor an average action game, it is below average, unfitting of anything higher than 4s. Veilguard is in the echelons of Daikatana, Ride to Hell: Retribution, Hunt Down the Freeman, etc. It's self evident to anyone with two eyeballs and a singular brain cell to rub together. I find it unbelievable that this is the hill that people are choosing to die over. I need to sit down and do some sleuthing on all those reviews that gave the game 100s, 10/10s, and "masterpiece" proclamations. Really interested to see just how deep these connections go, besides just ideological of course. If anyone remembers back in the day one of the highest rated user score for Dragon Age 2 turned out to be by a developer, see:

Man the real fallout hasn't even started. It's going to be a catastrophe on release day. Heads will roll. There might even be investor pressure to get EA to do something depending on how this plays out, read: Bioware closing down, trannies getting fired, etc.

There actually are bots in this 'conversation' but it's from the video game studios.

Remedy Entertainment was caught hiring bot farms to astroturf the 'woke' discussion online for Alan Wake 2. I obviously assume BioWare and similar entities do the same thing.

It's about power. Some people who belong to the current critical theory inner circle have decided that the transgendered should be the highest on the victimhood totempole, for reasons unknown.

It's about escalation too. First it was getting you to accept gays and lesbians as normal. Now it's trannies. You know what comes next.

Anyway, if Failguard leads to EA finally putting Bioware down like an old cancer-ridden dog, then it'll be my GOTY.

Dude removing all strong woman and negroes from games and you end up with the same boring and uncreative slop like bioware produces, just in stormfront flavour. Just let art be art and don't inject your stupid politics into every last medium meant for entertainment. I don't want to play video games meant for propaganda purposes, I want to be able to tell interesting and cool stories through them.
Reading through the thread this post stood out to me. It seems that with every big disastrous release made by the mentally ill Western game devs at least one Zionista gets to pull the shortest straw and has to defend it until the discussion dies down, with Starfield it was Vic, with the Silent Hill 2 remake it was Pillow Poofter or what his handle is, and with Dragon Age: Gender Confusion it was Codex jewish agitprop luminary Morgoth. They typically don't have much support, but somehow this post, in the middle of the fallout over the sheer insanity of the newest Dragon Age game drummed up a lot of brofists.

Let's be clear what you are saying here: you can't imagine a worthwhile story being written without the insertion of Joss Whedon style "strong female characters" (that are written by effeminate men who have erotic fantasies about women doing what they can't even fantasies about doing themselves) or Bantu Africans or racially mixed brown Americans. How did the world ever get by without such pillars of storytelling? When the epic of Gilgamesh was composed in Mesopotamia they really didn't know what they were doing since there weren't any basketball Americans in it. It was due to technological limitations they didn't tell stories about Marvel yas qweening girlbosses, right? Or maybe they were retroactive nahtzees?

Extrapolating I hope the same people will also agree in the future that you just can't be creative without stuffing your games full of gender mutilations, autogynephilic paraphernalia, and a lot of purple. Storyfag, General Disarray, negator2vc, karoliner, malx, Hammer Of The Heretics, sebas, and d1r. Any story lacking these is surely just as bad as the latest batch of psychological illness and very boring. I have to ask why you're not all on Morgoth's pro-Veilguard one-jew bandwagon already.

Try again, but with some reading comprehension. The point damager is making is how art shouldn't be driven by politics, not how negroes are needed for storytelling.

but why would the specter of Baldur's Gate 3 make them feel like such roundabout language was necessary?
I think it's because Baldur's Gate 3 is the better RPG and they don't want to showcase how lacking the role playing elements are compared to it - it'll affect sales. Like for example you can't really act evil in Veilguard, but in BG 3 you can kill companions.

Ah, gotcha, thanks to both of you for filling me in. In other words, basically now that normies have been exposed to a gist of actual role-playing with BG3, the reviewers are trying to gently say "ah .... so game this is railroaded as fuck, it's an RPG in name only (RPGINO), don't expect any meaningful choices or consequences or branches or anything that might upset the colorful HURRAY FOR EVERYTHING vibe we're going for here. We also don't want to piss off EA or or the rabid fan base by pointing out that glaring flaw. Anyway, here's newspeak."

With that in mind, I'm not terribly surprised Veilguard is super trans-friendly. Dragon Age very clearly hates the form it was born in and would very much like to shed the hated memories of being an RPG and mold into its polar opposite.

Okay so first of all your avatar looks like the incarnation of woke indie studio social worker pajeet elve. So strange this vomit of words is coming from you especially.

Second. Strong woman and negroes exist in the real world. I don't want them in medi evil Bohemia, but I also don't want writers to restrict themselfs, like they restrict themselfs in making it impossible for attractive hetero white guys to exist. San Andreas is a good game. Streets of rage is a good game. They have nothing to do with wokeness, they are even explicit anti-woke.

Go fuck yourself pedantic tranny elve

Woke is one thing, but being this bland and inoffensive as well?

Ah, but this is when I remeber it was written and designed by nonbinary Sims developers and fans. Then everything clicks. Mature, intelligent people do not play The Sims. Mature people shed the visual signifiers of infantile subcultures by the time they reach their 30s.
It's still crazy to me that EA promoted someone whose entire previous experience in game development is the Sims, Tiger Woods, a Nerf gun game and Monopoly to be the Game Director for a such a big fantasy RPG. I have no doubt that Bioware are responsible for a lot of the bad elements of game but having someone whose work history betrays absolutely no interest or experience in big RPGs signing off on the big decisions can't help either.

I wonder how enforceable are NDA ; in french contract law, NDAs must have a counterpart, that is, you must have some kind of incentive to not break NDA which make you look you're clearly working for the company you're working for.
"You have a free game and you can report your review and bugs to us" do not count as earning a counterpart, but working for free. I don't know how it works in the US, but I wouldn't be shocked if most NDAs were unenforceable or abusive bullshit.

Incidentally ,has anyone commented on how in this game you accept your non-binary status by setting a very binary quest flag ?

Usually, if you want to get review copies and doritos the next time around, you don't break NDAs

If you're a big enough publication and your game is good, you can be sure you're still getting the game.

Lmao, not for a long time, there are no big enough publications anymore, most twitch streamers are bigger and more important for selling games than any "published" media these days

One thing I can "seemingly" confirm is that there seems to be a shitlist shared by editors for NDAs.
I broke NDA for Ultima Forever, it was consequenceless.
Years later, when I applied for the Elder Scrolls Online Beta, every attempt to apply was met with an error message. Then I changed my email adress and it worked.

Baldurs Gate 1 wasn't woke.
Binary Domain wasn't woke.
Bloodlines wasn't woke.
And the list goes on...

You know dude, there was a time when artists or game devs tried to create characters that actually looked, and acted cool/sexy, and these characters could be all kinds of sorts: Black, white, or even strong women (who didn't speak with a californian sassy girl boss accent). The whole artistic process wasn't driven by an political agenda to make everything gay, it was driven by the artists own or the game teams vision.

And yes, I stand with my opinion that a game, which has a black or homosexual characters in it can also have a good story, a good narrative or whatever. The magic is to not be so fucking obnoxious ("hey main character, did you know that I am gay?"), and radical about it (white guys = bad guys, lets have talks about gender in a fucking RPG, wheelchairs in RPGs, and so on), pushing your agenda into the players face 24/7.

If you take out the politics and mid millenial writing, BG3 wasn't a bad RPG. Gonna be interesting to see if that's something normies actually valued or whether they rushed to the game because of the hype.

Starshit flopping shows they must be aware if a game is bad or not but with normies you never know. They often don't seem to be particularly sentient.

Games in the past took inspiration from other media, movies, books etc.

Branwen in BG1 wasn't there because of muh strong wombyn, she was there because of Valeria in the Conan movie.

In a sense, games were better when they were just being derivative of better media.

Nowadays movies, books etc are all utter shit so game devs don't even have that crutch.

you would think that's a good thing
but think about it - they would just go elsewhere and damage other studios and products

It's Tumblr-Twatter Syndrome - you think destruction of one thing would be good, but only cause problems elsewhere
