I'd just like an answer to why Bioware seems to love shitting on the Grey Wardens and notably the Hero of Ferelden in the sequels so much.

Origins never got a true sequel and it's one of the biggest missed opportunities of the decade

For all the faults of BG3, it shows that proper RPGs can still find a mass market audience. RPG game devs were chasing phantom "larger audiences" to their own detriment for I don't know how long

I hope they feel stupid now, but I don't think they care enough or have the self awareness for it

My biggest concern is that RPG developers will take the wrong lessons from BG3 success which I’m already seeing cough…Owlcat…Cough.
