There's a first piece of Veilguard porn.

Notice how they/them looks absolutely nothing like the game, because even the degenerates who draw and jack off to Veilguard porn don't like Veilguard designs.

So the way EA operates is they don't need every game to be a success. They're willing to finance a bunch of duds if there's a likelihood of 'breakout success'.
That's pretty much how investment works - you invest in some business ventures and it doesn't matter that some fail, as long as at least one of them brings back enough money for you to profit from it.
Absolutely, but it doesn't make the failures "okay" in a business sense, especially not when they're big-ticket, established IPs. For better or worse, a publicly-traded company's remit isn't to turn "a" profit, but to maximise it, so underperforming products get restructured or discontinued.

And as far as we can tell, DATV certainly looks like it's underperforming. We're literally a week out from release, it's failed to reach even a third of the Steam concurrent players peak for Starfield (it's closer to a quarter, actually), a comparably AAA-positioned title that got a lukewarm reception at best and was on Gamepass day one. And on the console front, Amazon UK already has DATV 21% off on PS5 and 17% off for the XBox. These are not joyous numbers.

Bottom line, some nice people in EA's C-suite are probably feeling a little blue about just how much gold trim their next yachts will have. And when those nice people feel blue, they might just break for a spot of quiet R&R behind the shed.

Surprise surprise, degenerated porn artists generaly do not give a shit about retarded wokie's beauty standards.

Dare I say, it will be one of the only Incline effects of the game.

Speaking of BG3, wait till the weekend and it will have more current players than Failguard's all-time peak.

I mean, this has already happened. The peak of DATV users was on November 3rd. On the same day and time, Baldur's Gate 3 had over 10 thousand more players. And the game hadn't even gone on sale on Steam yet.

The difference will likely grow even larger, considering that Veilguard is losing around 2 to 3 thousand users daily, and BG3 will probably gain some.

It's not so much MMO combat as much as unfinished. It oozes incompleteness from every orifice. Not a single class is well designed or balanced, especially the specialisations. Auto attacks are usually the way to do max DPS because a lot of the abilities are a net DPS loss due to how the animations work. Mages' schools vary wildly in effectiveness and usefulness too. I've tried to make a debuff-support mage in the past, but it's strictly worse than being a damage dealer. It's a mess.

Funny how they could have made that char look gorgeous in-game as well instead of like an abomination, could have sold a million more

Did this mentally ill retard write Taash?
You really needed female asmongold to tell you?
I think there's more to this. Weekes and Dale are involved with this writing project that Dale refers to in their tweet. Weekes' writing on Veilguard is suspiciously bad for a writer of his experience, yes it's woke as fuck but it's more than that, some scenes are particularly badly written, like the one with the cookies. Almost like someone who was a complete amateur wrote them.

Other scenes such as the vegetables scene seem to be lifted entirely from someone's experience of being a trans person, and Weekes is merely non-binary. I strongly suspect that Dale had a lot to do with Taash's writing.

It doesn't really matter how good somebody is at their job if there is a blue-hair above them telling them what to do, you know? Veilguard was also not the original Dragon Age 4, they scrapped multiple prototypes before settling on this so you cannot be sure if somebody listed in the credits is actually the author of this or that.
For instance: in Doom Eternal the entire soundtrack is credited to Mick Gordon and this other random guy that did absolutely nothing but take credit.

Ten years? Lol.
I've been saying it from the start. DA:O combat mechanics have some MMO inspirations.
'MMO combat' has been a Kommon Kodex Kriticism of the series from the beginning, to the point that I think it used to be something of a consensus view IIRC. Certainly Elzair's now broken DA:O review mentions it being an issue.
This is a good review, will it ever be fixed? I had to use html stripper to read it.
From this review:

The Archdemon seems to be just a beast, so it cannot be much of a rival. I thought that they were positioning Loghain to be the chief rival throughout most of the story, but his actions never make any sense! I thought that something darker was going on (maybe he was possessed by demons), but it looks like he was just a paranoid, old coot who did not like that Cailan was asking the Orlesian Empire for help, so he left his king (and a large chunk of Denerim's army) to die, poisoned Arl Eamon, and tried to start a civil war between the mages and the Chantry to . . . unite Ferelden to oppose the Blight. That makes perfect sense!

Does that mean Codex prefers Troonguard's Illuminati retcon?

It's the whole narrative direction that's the problem. Guardians of the Galaxy & Disney style crap.
It's Sims-ification, maximum audience broadening. Dumbing everything into lowest common denominator until it turns into inoffensive tone deaf slop. And it was done on purpose, specifically hiring former Sims devs.
To be fair, a good Sims game is hard to pull off. Trying to squeeze challenge out of mundanity to keep it engaging is quite the task. That's why Sims 4 is so awful and pointless, it has 0 challenge and thus 0 gameplay.

I find I'm having issues understanding why DAV is the way it is and why anyone thought what they were doing is fine or even good. I don't know who the target audience is and I don't understand why they thought lore-raping the IP into non-usability is the correct move. The only people I can see vibing with this game are Tumblr autists or clinically anxious people who simply can't cope with any sort of social pressure/difficulty and prefer their media to be as non-threatening or black-and-white simple as possible. I actually knew one such person, but he is dead now because he couldn't surmount his own brain.

Why play on a Steam Deck if you are going to be tethered to a wall outlet and have a PC?

ATM it's called "toxic positivity". When all criticism is wrongthink, you shut up or loose your job.
