The real testament of how unfinished the game is , is not how there is not enough enemy variety or that a map is small and kinda empty, but in the fact, that when the story was starting to gain momentum, during something that felt like a middle act, the game suddenly throws an end game boss at you.

It clearly got cut short in many regards. When the Duke says "all roads are open to you" or some such, it was supposed to be literal, as in more of the map would open up. The fort taken over by goblins for instance was supposed to serve as a gateway to a whole new region, instead it has a big conspicuous gate that you never get to open.

This was my child. Picked it up from Gamestop and bought it again as DA.
Then bought it again on PC. after getting it on PS4.

I wonder. I pray the expansion, if at all will salvage it and breathe life as the expansion did for the base game.
