Totally normal, well adjusted person behavior.
I am not surprised I got banned or anything. I knew it would happen. That's the whole point.
I went to call on their PR's unprofessional behavior, and shared the news how easily he got triggered (yet again) here, to chuckle with others.
And it wasn't hateful, man, just rightful diss of an arrogant ass.

For all I know, the game looks good, but it's a shame they've allowed such unlearned wannabe to be in charge of anything.

Last but not least, I am sorry that I called him the developer, though. I wasn't aware of the whole thing at the time. That one is on me.

Since I delved into this affair, I'll also finish it and clean my mess.
I talked to one of the devs on the Discord. Later, the said PR appeared as well.
I apologized to the devs about the unfortunate turn of events (me confusing them with the PR, ending up hurting the game instead).
Turns out the dev was the "usual" sort of polite, nice guy who expressed an interest in talking this out (internally).
I don't want to include details much—given my knack to stir hornets nests, I feel like that this could lead to some more serious nonsense like publisher vs developer issues.
But I am glad that things turned out like this. Fyi, not that it was the point, but they also decided to lift my permaban. First time in my life O.o

Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is. Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Pathfinder: Wrath I'm very into cock and ball torture I helped put crap in Monomyth
Before I eat supper:

Controls are good, mood is nice, and music isn't anything special, but does its job. Combat is easy to get into, despite only playing the first 30 minutes of the final release (played a lot of the demo). Two handed weapons (especially the axe) will probably not be my thing. Sword and board feels better for me. Dodging isn't a pain in the neck, and also uses up some stamina. Guarding reduces damage taken. I don't remember if you can perfect guard, as I have mostly been dodging (only met simple monsters at the start). I found the magic missile on a skeleton, but I will probably not focus much on magic. I will wait and see how useful it is. I might use it as a last resort thing, or mostly use buffing spells. Writing is standard fare. Not really great.

Just like the demo, the game seems like it will be a fun ride.

It's not comparable to this.

Assuming antisemitism when people are cracking jokes about the game's name actually looking like it has "Foreskin" in it is an insane leap.

I'm on the Codex. I get to see actual antisemitism spewed everyday here. This completely blind sided me seeing that SS just as bad as the game name did.

It's an insane assumption to make whether or not the person is trolling.

I really like the "witcher vision" equivalent of this game's mechanics. Instead of turning on some magic eye sharingan thing you need to search stuff like footprints or secret lootable objects by tracing them with your cursor.

That magic missile I found was just a scroll. Used it up on a crappy critter.

You gain levels as usual, and each level earns you learning points. You use them at a trainer. I gained a combat skill from a quest.

Fighting tougher monsters will screw you up if you don't compose yourself in combat.

One nitpick I have is when you pick up items. You have to be 1 millemeter close to the item to grab it.

I got a new armor, and an actual sword and shield.

So far (first 2 hours) I definetely have had a good time. The game OOZES Gothic inspiration, with you being an absolute scrub, the world being dangerous and how the LP system works.

Didn't notice THAT much DEI to take me out of immersion yet, and writing while nothing to write home about is solid enough to work with the system.

Hope it holds up to the trial of time.

Got curbstomped by a giant chicken, fellow hobos and got jumped by guards on the way to the pit. For named NPCs, they actually use the gothic knock out system when you fight NPCs. The bandit shook me for 50 gold, but since i dont have the money, they beat the shit out of me and took all 7 coins i had.

Combat is pretty good, while monsters behavior are relatively simple (they rely on brute force, basically. The giant chicken 2 shotted me and the rippers usually come in packs and you will die at low level) but human enemies are more sophisticated. They attack you with combination of both melee and ranged and skills on top of it all. They can throw nets that immobilized you, and beat you up helpless.

^There were a few spriggans who violated my dude by immobilizing him, and smashing him to pieces.

Is it a scroll or a rune? The only runes I've been able to find thus far were Fiery Shout and Misty Step in one of the high-level areas (there's also an Epic two-handed axe there BTW but it's guarded by several harpies), the zone you can only access through a specific cave system that's only reachable going north from the logging camp. Speaking of navigation, that's my biggest gripe about the game by far. The world is too maze-like with too few alternative pathways to reach your destination. There was a map I found leading me to a buried chest in the northern parts of the map. I could see the waterfall where the treasure is the second I reached that area, but I had to take a very long detour around it because there's only one very specific path that can get you to said waterfall. And, yeah, sword & shield and spear & shield feel like the only viable playstyles because they're the only ones that can block attacks, while dodging costs way too much stamina considering how frequently you'll be doing it when fighting groups of enemies. There's a total of 4 perks that give you bonuses when you time your blocks perfectly (like reducing the stamina cost or giving you one guaranteed critical hit), but there's no such thing for dodging as far as I can tell. I've found one craftable trinket and a food recipe that increase stamina regeneration which ought to make it more viable, but that's about it.

crazy how much gothic inspired the game is. It even has that eurojank back and forth npc dialogue flow of the gothic games.

Bandits prowl the land, monsters are everywhere, lots of secrets if you look well, loot is unique and fixed... quite enjoyable so far!

There even is some minor (so far) CnC and environmental interaction: mud slows you down, thorny bushes will make you bleed and equipping torches will allow you to burn down spiderwebs and access blocked off areas.

It's not the developer fyi. It's the publisher's community manager or whatever. I'm sure the developers are shaking their heads at the potential playerbase they're losing because of Deck13's shit.
Devs got pronouns on their own site. So the devs clearly support post modern politics.
I don't like screeching about post-modernism shit on steam forums and other places, but I will be silently picky on what games are worth to give devs money. Drova looks kinda neat, and might be worth checking out, but not sure if its worth giving them money.

When I looked at their pictures, I immediately noticed soy in all of them except for Kai. Then I saw his bio:

"Kai is our Programing Lead and Locks himself up in the company's basement to get the algorithms flowing."

In other words, he avoids others. My instincts are never wrong!
