Not just that. My neck and shoulders start hurting when I am using M&K too much for action type games or RTS. I can use controllers for longer without having same issues.
Sounds more like a problem with chair/desk than with M&K as such.

This poor fella here used to be a semi-boss fight. Now, one full-blown hit by the Fiery Shout spell and 3/4 of his HP poofed into the ether. One critical / bleeding hit, and some waiting and dodging did the rest.

Yeah, I went from sweating bullets fighting a bear in a cave (placing traps, spawning like 6 animals to help, etc.) to... I easily fight two at the same time and stunlock them with sling abilities while slice'n'dicing the shit out of them with a legendary blade. :kingcomrade:

Btw what they were thinking with adopting WoW items grade system? Jarring.
The game is generally like that. Most of the time it genuinely feels and plays like Gothic but...... they decided to add grading system, strong wymenz everywhere ( I do mean everywhere), questionable "focus system", unnecessary "humour" etc. But not going to lie, it is still one of the best games this year. Together with SKALD and both are pixel art. Welcome to 2024 I suppose.

I refunded this after talking to a lady in the forest who was too embarrassed to go back to camp because people would make fun of her for being bitten by a wolf, so she wanted to stay bleeding out in the swamp until I went and got meds for her. The dialogue is painful, each new character making me more upset than the last until I couldn't take any more.

Unfortunately characters and dialogues are NOT going to get any better. Gameplay and exploration are still top notch though.

When I enter a world full of people that make me puke whenever I have to speak to them, it generally makes me want to escape rather than explore.

ngl, I got filtered super hard by the fetch quests.

Game has the audacity to ask me to "collect [x] amount of [x] from [x]" like a dozen times in a row. So I just went around murdering everyone.

Or I would've, if they stayed dead. Is there a finishing move like Gothic or are the NPCs just immortal?

Have you tried the same idea irl already

:badnews:
I like just about everyone I meet irl though, it's only in video games that I regularly find myself in this predicament.
No surprise - cucks IRL are afraid you'll smash their teeth in and behave accordingly.

NPCs are immortal.

edit: To be honest, I don't know as I didn't try to kill NPCs.

I know bandits stay dead. I assume most story related NPCs will be immortal.

Nevertheless that quest has multiple solutions with different consequences:
- you can heal her and don't tell anyone -> best reward (as she is a trainer)
- you can heal her while informing other people -> medium reward (she will no longer train you)
- you can kill her by preparing the wrong healing potion -> best reward for you!?

The game has several quests like this but you need some patience to be able to experience them. Kudos for filtering yourself out.

Yet it is still way better then anything PB made after Risen 1. And I don't think think anyone is saying that Drova is the bestest thing on the planet ever. Its just one of the best things to come out THIS year. Nice and short (its not bloated at all) indie game to scratch that Gothic itch until that big update for Archolos comes out.

Hot damn, it's like the outer worlds! All these choices and consequences except why would you care when the world you're choosing and consequencing in is a joke inhabited by exclusively annoying retards? Is there a quest solution that makes the real guy who wrote these shit characters appear in front of me and I can choose which object I get to beat they/them with? That's the only choice and consequence I would ever get excited about.

the situation would make some sense if it'd been a man and through exposition shown to be really highly strung about not showing any weakness and lack of competency
but it's a brown woman, so it comes off as female lack of competency compounded with female stupidity in a game that has pretensions of portraying a feminist heaven that's really really not trying to say that, as told by gormless libtarded bugmen, so it's all really annoying

Thing is in that particular quest if you follow a "stupid man" advise you end up killing her. So the best quest outcome is to find the only adequate, knowledgeable medic in the area which another "strong wymen". And Drova is full of that. Like there is another quest when another strong independent woman smith/builder is looking for her useless male assistant who is too busy daydreaming and admiring different bugs and insects (I am not joking). So I can fully understand when a lot of codexers would rather skip Drova.
