That can't be real.
Well, here's what Drow look like in Urban Arcana:

And it's an official WotC product. But you're right, KC is likely to be fucking with us.

You get the feeling that whoever drew that Drow has approximately no idea how people dress and hasn't been outside in a very long time.

Psh, I posted on the /tg/ thread KC got that from

Also, as he no doubt also read on the thread, apparently the Lolzth, the evil spider queen goddess of the drow, is now a god. Actually male or just badly worded neutral term used? With 4th, nobody can tell!

As for intimidation being charisma driven, you don't have to be some giant body builder with freakishly large muscles to appear intimidating. Charisma is...ill defined at best, but assuming it's at last partially related towards projection of character, I can see intimidate working underneath it. After all, smaller people can feel a lot more menacing then bigger ones.

And even in the 90's i'm pretty sure that goth clothing generally wasn't a lot of bright colours with blonde hair and a "I has a skull, i is deep!" t-shirt (except for the last one, and even then normally not a bright green shirt).

The artist seems really fucking confused as to what he's trying to go for, his choice of colours seems to be going for teeny bopper, yet the Drow is tattooed and wearing a skull shirt. He could be going for some kind of punk look, but if thats the case its failing again.

And on top of that WHY THE FUCK IS SHE WEARING A BLOODY LONGSWORD!?!

...ROFL. For, for some reason, I saw this on a website that collects D&D sourcebooks as .pdfs.

It is a mystary! Massive failure too.

Anybody else been receiving the monthly news letter. They're latest choices have been pretty fucking funny. Firstly they decided that they weren't going to have female chaos warriors or marauders because that wouldn't be fluff canon (despite there being at least 2 female chaos lord special characters).

And now they've decided that Dark Elves are going to be getting male sorcerers and what are essentially male witch elves.

For those of you who aren't big warhammer fluff nerds, the Dark Elves are ruled by Malekith, an incredibly powerful sorcerer and paranoia nutcase who has all other male magic users put to death in order to prevent them challenging his rule. And the Witch Elves are essentially a religious order of psychotic berserker elven nuns who dress like cheesecake models and fight like weasels on crack.

I am hereby going to counter the lavishly wholloping, over-the-top displays, by *immersing* myself in Darklands, and dreams of DragonAge.

The GLORY of low-fantasy realms.

Interesting. I get the newsletter (and don't care unless it says YOU GOT INTO BETA in it) but I don't follow WH so that's good to know.

You guys missed a few of the good ones though:

Yeah....doesn't interest me much. I'm more interested in the new wizards. And ofcourse, the Warlocks. :)

Though since wizards willalso get at will offensive spells (powers) they wont be THAT diff from warlocks any more.

IMO wizard'spells' will prbably do less damagebut havea side effect (ray of cold: at will, minor damage, slows)

Warocsk EB will be at will, do wicked damage. The side effects though, will probably be at will and minoir.

So: At will abilities:
wizards have less damage but more crippling side effect.

Warlocks have more damage but a minor side effect ex: nausea)

Very MMO :)

Comment on the art the posted art:

Why does everything in D&D has to be "cool" and extremefied? All these options of subraces and races, such as artsy genius peace-loving elves, and basically anything, is just wank material for self-indulgent fantasies. From books to games and movies, I can't escape this shit.
