Images & shit are leaking out, apparently BG&E2 might be back:

And console people seem to be going crazy over another "Kingdom Hearts" (also apparently the latest Final Fantasy might have been renamed):

Oh god, bad 3D? Why?
It's like the new Berserk movies all over again. :(

What?

The 3D is really good, it's just Capcom USA screwed it up by having the camera move at the start of the English announcement. When the camera is stationary, the animation is done so perfectly, even mimicking the low frame count, it looks great.

Beyond G&E 2 has been in development for like four or five years now. Not getting my hopes up. Even if they do get it out I cringe to think how much more MAINSTREAM it can get.

Never understood all the praise Beyond Good and Evil gets. I played it a few years ago, it's just another shallow Zelda clone with awful stealth segments, nothing special imo.

Some guy from NeoGAF who deliberately writes like a dyslexic to not be quoted and has apparently been right about a lot of stuff in the past had this to say about Microsoft/Xbox One: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=581089

- Confirmed Microsoft is actively attempting to get developers to not mention PS4 versions by paying them. If you don't explicitly hear "OUR GAME IS EXCLUSIVE FOR XBONE" it is safe to assume there is a PS4 version.
- Stage 2 more in-depth DRM messaging at Gamescom. Rental strategy doesn't exist. Execs won't talk about it because the messaging isn't done yet and Stage 1 last Thursday was a Clusterfuck.
- "Cloud power" was designed as DRM from Day 1. The DRM was Microsofts idea and they approached third parties with the plan, not the other way around. EA and Ubisoft are the biggest boosters/supporters, Activision slightly less so.
- DRM plans are worse than they've already stated.
- Mirror's Edge 2 will be shown at the MS conference.
- Prince of Persia Reboot will be shown at MS conference.
- Secret Phil Spencer game is World of Tanks from WarGaming.net
- Xbox Live Paywall will still there, if people want to play "Free2Play" games they have to pay for Live
- Dead Rising 3 will be shown with "Exclusive DLC" for another Capcom game will be shown at MS conference.
- DRM info for PS4 is kept secret, there's no mentions of a Online Paywall for PS4, so fall although there is no confirmation.

This will be easy enough to confirm or dispel, since either most of what he is saying about Mirror's Edge/Prince of Persia/World of Tanks/Dead Rising 3 etc. turns out true and one can assume the rest is too or not.

It's okay but, like Psychonauts, vastly overrated. Wouldn't mind if there were a few more games like it on the market.

"Overrated" by who? Both games were certainly not the types where Gaming journalists got Dorito hats and engaged in the 10/10 hype machine pantless parties with mandatory circlejerks like the late Bioshock: Infinite or The Last of Us.

If anything the term "Overlooked" would probably fit better in that sense, since there weren't that many people giving the games a chance in the first place (pointed out by the fact that neither have had a sequel until now and both weren't featured in that many magazines back in the day).

They were kind of fresh and different both in gameplay and story-wise and largely funny to boot with memorable characters and that's likely why a lot of people think fondly of them in retrospect.
I don't really expect the new one to be from what they've previously shown:

Oh boy, remote controlled attack dog with kill cam.

Ugh, that cinematic fps pan. They might as well lock the camera viewpoint up until its time for combat then have that as a QTE. I cant say that shaky cam and head bobbing would be an improvement, because its fucking shit, but could the press demos at least have a FPS gamer do the fucking demo, or is it slow pan for 'teh cinematics' and to keep shitty FPS under acceptable limits?

Famed hacker and child porn enthusiast SuperDAE has apparently released his "insurance" due to being arrested - a 1.7TB file allegedly full of information THE MAN doesn't want you to see.
Making a 1.7TB file available to download isn't exactly what I would call "releasing" something... how many people can even download that?

It's encrypted and the passphrase hasn't been released but good job giving this dumb fuck more attention.

So NeoGAF has their premier source on the inside spill the beans. I will translate though as the original text is fucking nearly impossible to read.
http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=581089

  1. Microsoft is buying out publishers to not mention the PS4 versions of multi-platform titles, so you can assume if the presenter does not say "EXCLUSIVE TO XBOX ONE", that it will also be on PS4.
  2. More in depth DRM info at Gamescom. There is no rental strategy, they're trying to just sweep it under the rug and hope people don't remember.
  3. Cloud power was designed as DRM. It was Microsoft's idea, and they approached other publishers. EA and Ubisoft support, Activision slightly less so.
  4. DRM plans are worse than what they have said.
  5. Mirror's Edge 2 at MS conference.
  6. Prince of Persia (reboot?) at MS conference.
  7. Secret Phil Spencer game = World of Tanks. It is said that you still need Gold to play F2P games?
  8. Paywall for Xbox One.
  9. Dead Rising 3 as Xbox One exclusive. Exclusive DLC for another Capcom game.
  10. No paywall for PS4, but it's unconfirmed.
  11. Sony is very tight on their DRM policies, so no DRM info.

Welcome to page 5.

Anyone have dates/times of the live conferences and/or sites to stream from?
