Feels like every second review wants to remind us that Breath of the Wild apparently was the first ever video game with an open world

For many of the "journalists" it most likely was.

For these Kwan blue-haired vegan manlets and whales it was clearly a life-defining experience because

In the future, it's gaming companies that will give scores to journos

Just checked the performance part of the reviews. Cowboy reports his PC performance was rough with a lot memory leaks and serious bugs (NPCs and bosses despawning, never to reappear again), SkillUp says it was a mostly bug-free smooth sailing.

Go figure.

In all this hype and talk of performance problems, everyone seemed to forget about the RCE exploit thing: is Elden Ring affected in any way? Or will Russian PvP twinks hack our accounts and drain all the funds to support the war effort?

That RCE exploit was solved like 1 month ago. Also Elden Ring will use EasyAntiCheat.

We are very close to have spoilers on this thread. I don´t want to abandon the hype train with all the bros just because some low discipline retards and coomers.

Since it is only like 10 people posting in this thread, we could make an agreement to hide spoilers.
Only because it's hidden in the leet jrpg subforum. Where's the highest rated game in all human history will be...

After the Cyberpunk fiasco, I completely lost the 1% faith I had in reviews, so I'm still skeptical. Nonetheless, I'm excited for the game and only worried about the performance on PC (which most reviews seems to mention are minor).

Yeah the others shun jrpgs as if they lack something compared to the western ones. Bloody hentai stereotypes I say. In my book, Japanese designers are top-notch.

Oblivion->praised by game journos. Witcher 3->praised by game journos. Elden Ring->praised by game journos. Conclusion: if you put a horse in your game, instant GOTY.

Ehhh, there was also Kindom Come..

Japanese studios produce games that are higher quality than western ones in terms of bugs and stability. The fatal flaw is that 90% of them take place in a high school.

No kidding, how many Jap games are NOT stylish, polished, beautifully crafted infantile retarded garbage for sexually repressed neckbeard manbryos with shelves full of anime action figurines?

From the top of my head - FromSoft games, Nioh, Metal Gear Solid games, Dragon's Dogma, Yakuza games....anything else?

Elden Ring is officially the highest rated and most beloved RPG of all time. Souls-hating codexers are fumin, absolutely devastated.
