Attributes not doing much besides being a requirement for gear and skills is by design (in German): http://www.gamestar.de/artikel/elex-attribute-ohne-wirkung-feature-und-kein-bug,3321408.html

"Wir haben uns dazu entschlossen, das Spiel vornehmlich über die Waffen zu tunen, die man findet und sich aufrüsten kann, da es sehr sehr groß ist und wir absolute Werte bei den Gegnern haben. Ein Spiel mit einer so hohen Anzahl an Spielstunden soll sowohl am Anfang als auch noch gegen Ende interessant sein."

We decided to balance the game around the upgradeable weapons, since there is no level scaling. A game with this kind of length should stay interesting from beginning to end.

Doesn't entirely work out that way since you are getting noticeably stronger eventually. But it would probably be worse if attributes had a significant effect, it's very easy to hugely boost them with potions later on.

Now they just need to figure out how to make both options viable and fun in tandem. I like stats as equipment and skill gating, but it feels much better when they actually have a small effect on damage/hp/mana, etc. as well.

Now he called people who do not run away from too powerful monsters idiots. Haha.

Not sure if it's still going on, but can you ask him if they are going to implement numerical representations for HP, mana, stamina and experience?

Looks like 'bog holes' to me... Maybe it's a big joke on typos since O and I are next to each other /fabulouslyoptimistic

Jinn it ended =(

Edit: Also, I would like to formally put forward into the registry of complaints that the game is slightly over the shoulder in the default view. This has caused me endless autistic screeching. Please fix back to proper center aligned 3rd person and/or fight me at dawn. Thank you.

Wow, now this is a real role playing gamer who knows what he is talking about. I think all of us losers need to see the light and look upon the real masters of role playing, Bethesda.

These letters aren't supposed to look like they're jumping around, right? I mean, it's just an image, not some kind of sadistic video file designed to make me question my sanity?? RIGHT!? Either I've contracted the world's only case of adult onset dyslexia or pulling repeated all-nighters to play Elex is taking its toll.

Real life Elex withdrawal symtpoms: blurred vision/mild hallucinations, cold sweat, sub-optimal body odor, difficulty paying attention to non-Elex objects/people, craving for Germanic music (Furtwangler IS Beethoven), obsessive checking of codex from work for vicarious Elex fix, poor judgment. I wish I had one of those potions, but looks like the only cure is more Elex.

Game runs poorly in my computer. :negative: Guess I'll have to pull a Witcher 3 and wait until I have a proper videocard to play ELEX in all its glory.
