reads like mass effect by a non retard activist team, but time will tell, sooner or later time will tell.

Totally forgot about Archetype Entertainment and this game, so I went to the company homepage and, beside the trailer linked above, I have a small spark of hope: they all look like normal human beings, which is not a given in game development, nowadays.

There are some ingame snippets towards the end, dumbass.

Should have put it up front.

Westoid Hollyfag style of story telling is so damn generic i could barely make it to the end and had to skip a bit plus my rule at this point is if I see brown person, i avoid.

It might seem "meh", but honestly, what competition will it have in the next few years? Starfield? The next Mass Effect, which will probably be a similar aberration to Veilguard? Squadron 42, that is, if it's not delayed for the fifth time to 202X? I don't know if I'm forgetting something, but as far as I can see, this game essentially has no direct competition.

If it's even minimally competent and polished, and doesn't have stupid NPCs, it will probably be well received. The reception of the videos on YouTube already shows that it is extremely positive.

Starfield? That's old news. And Mass Effect 5 is likely still many years away. Exodus will have smooth sailing in the SciFi RPG space.

When I heard ex-BioWare devs like Drew Karpyshin were working on an alternative to Mass Effect, I was excited. But the publisher that owns Archetype Entertainment, telling them how high to jump, Wizards of the Coast, are deep in bed with DEI propaganda and the re-writing of human history. The trailer was something like 90% minorities, if I remember. This is Wizards of the Coast we are talking about. They turned Aragorn, an icon of traditional English culture made by JRR Tolkien to give England it's Anglo-Saxon era mythology back, into a black African:

Are you gonna tell me this game is going to be any different to Dragon Age: The Veilguard in terms of how much hate-filled activism it condones?

C'mon, you seriously believe any corporation can escape DEI and is given "full creative freedom"?

Your master is ultimately whoever controls your company's purse-strings.

Would be happy to be wrong, but it's never happened to anyone, in any prediction of woke, ever, so far.

That Q&A video was absolutely not interesting.

The worst part was when the question was about when the first gameplay trailer will be released, and the dude just says "We don't have a specific date, but a date does exist."

They're really terrible at marketing this. That money spent on McConaughey is probably gonna be one of the their bigger regrets.

"There is such thing as a date." -- C.C. Orlev, Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow (outside of that span, who knows?)

We know that Owlcat is working on their Unreal engine third person RPG/shooter, said to be a big budget project for them. So that game probably is the main competition.

But yeah people will compare the game to Baldur's Gate 3 regardless if it make sense, cause they will be wondering why WOTC is wasting time and money in this when they can be making more in house 5E games.
