Seriously? Of all the things to mod... this? XD

Wrong bet, sorry. Most of the fixed bugs were reported through the famous Per Jorner's F2 guide, which has nothing to do with new content. Have you played one of the latest releases anyway? It's a rock solid experience in comparison with the officialy patched F2. No more random crashes due to missing sounds or animations and even some of the nastiest vanilla bugs were squashed, as a serious characters' statistics fuck-up after winning the New Reno boxing match for instance.I'll bet you anything most of the bugs he fixed were introduced by his shitty restored content!
It looks to me like you're bashing modder without actualy playing his shit. Well, suit yourself.
edit:
Unfortunately, Kaga is still haunting in the Wastes. Now he's treated as a regular random encouter though, very similar to the Frog's Morton brothers. Thanks to that, you can avoid the encounter completely with decent Outdoorsman skill.Do I have to play through this new version to complain about Kaga, or has it been massively improved/deleted since the "MWAHAHAHAHA I ARE KAGA"-days?
Because you don't wanna read Kaga's long ass monologues more than onceWhy would you save during combat? You some kind of fairy boy?
You use the high resolution patch for that.Did they hack it to support larger resolutions? Or are the pixels going to be as big as nickels on my monitor?
You use the high resolution patch for that.
You use the high resolution patch for that.
Thanks. I'll give it a shot tonight and pray for lack of conflict errors.

It's included with this, you don't need to install it separately.

I agree. New Reno is ill-fitting content, not bad content, so just tone it down. You only have to cut and replace things that outright suck. Like Mass Effect 1's inventory spreadsheet.
Also so far I have debunked every single Arroyo bugfix. Here's a sneak preview:
• If you find Vault 13 but don't enter it, Arroyo won't change, but Hakunin's description and dialogue will! - this has been corrected.
ANDYMAN: First of all, if you find Vault 13 why wouldn't you enter it? This is a bug nobody but the most stupid retards and also a few russians will ever see. Second of all, no, no you know what, there is no second thing! What the fuck, people? Is this a joke? Is this candid fucking camera? If I see walking mailbox on the street I get kind of annoyed. Like, what the fuck is that? If I see somebody standing in front of the entrance to Vault 13 in Fallout 2, but not enter it and instead travels ALL THE WAY BACK TO ARROYO, I repeat, ARROYO - THE STARTING LOCATION AND FURTHEST LOCATION AWAY FROM VAULT 13, WITHOUT DOING WHAT THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO DO AND ENTER THE VAULT, then... shit, I guess I would be really fucking annoyed! But also a bit confused. I'd be like, "huh, you ah, you SURE you want to do that, buddy?" And then if they said yes then I would fucking kill them.
Yup, that sounds insane. My guess is that killap ran into this kind of "bugs" by decompiling the original scripts, he spotted an obviously broken/incomplete conditional construct and fixed it just for the sake of fixing, because he's a goddamned perfectionist. It blows my mind that somebody, whether it's killap or one of his cronies or whatever, you know, they found Vault 13, which is the entire point to Fallout 2 (until the Enclave comes to fuck shit up anyway) and didn't enter it, instead trekking all the way back to the starting location.
Cooper's all about constrictor snakes. I don't think hot greek guitar goddesses interests him in that way.You think Cooper's boning her?

Almost three years after the last release and after a lengthy beta testing period, Fallout 2 modding extraordinaire killap has released the final versions of his famous mod and its accompanying bugfix-only patch. No Mutants Allowed reports:
This is it, the big one. After 3 years of intense work, killap the Bear Dude has released the final version of the Restoration Project, bringing Fallout 2 closer to the original vision by reimplementing scores of features that did not make the cut all the way back in 1998. However, don't take it from us, listen to the Bear Dude himself:
Now come 2013, RP 2.2 is being released. I believe that this version is what I had always envisioned the Restoration Project would become. If you were put off by older RP releases, please give it a try again. I think you'll be pleased. If you've been waiting 6 years to play the RP, well, now is your chance. And if you've already played it dozens of times before, rest assured there is new content for you to experience.
Is this the end of Bear Dude's Fallout modding adventure? To me it is, but I've already said this before and I'll admit that anytime I see a bug reported for something I've worked on, I get the urge to squash it. So expect at least one more minor update down the road, especially since at the very least a Russian translation is in the works. But do know, that to me, I'm done.
Was all this worth the many, many thousands of hours I put in over the years to fix vanilla bugs and add new content? I think so. I had fun doing it and really, I just wanted others to get even more enjoyment out of a game they loved. I also like to think that in some way I inspired others to do modding of their own and to realize that just because a game is old it doesn't mean it has to be abandoned.
We salute you, killap. You are credit to Motherland!
You can get both mods over at killap's website. Now, let's bitch about Kaga some more.
The GOG version might come with an older version of the unofficial patch?
Am I the only one who hates the edgy pseudo-purist faggots out of NMA's smelliest asshole who camouflage themselves in the clothings of being "TROO H@RDK0R3 BLACKISLE FANZ" and then start rejecting Fallout 2 as a inferior game to 1, despite the fact they've probably played it twice the times they played the first?
Hurr hurr New Reno dumb
Hurr hurr talking plant
Sorry faggots, but Fallout 2 >>> Fallout 1 in every aspect. Suck it down fagtards and choke on my brown-coloured dick.
Fallout 1 is a awesome game, but 2 is superior in pretty much every way except for bugs. That's why only retards like 3 (which tried to go more aligned with 1, but was totally retarded) and New Vegas is a proper sucessor to both and their themes. But not their gameplay, because turn-based gameplay was central to the vision of Fallout.
And don't come say "Unfinished Content", Fallout 1 also has lots of unfinished content. LA Boneyard is literally a Boneyard of Unfinished Content. Fallout 2 never had a city that lost most of its content like that.
