It seems as if writers have english as their second language. Witcher's semi-lame initial english version almost seems good compared to this.
I think Beth should've sticked to the wiki type convos without trying to make 'teh wittey dialogs lol' and save embarresement for both of us.

I love the setting so was keeping a tiny bit of hope that this might be at least playable, but its looking worse and worse.

I saw a gameplay video where they said you get an arrow that point you to where you are supposed to go in your quest. I hated that in Oblivion, almost as much as level scaling.

good stuff:

non-feral ghouls
spiffy clothing

bad stuff:

mr. burke is evil for the sake of being evil, so much for shades of gray

Goddamn, there it is again. That feeling that I might be wrong and this might not be completely shitty.
How do I fight this?
Just looking at all those screenshots ought to help. Otherwise, a bullet might.

Clearly we need to petition them to change all the races to match "African American". So "Asian-American", "Caucasian-American" and "Hispanic-American" would all need to be in there. Also for PC-related reasons we'd also need to have "Native-American".

Hmm, looks fairly decent, honestly. I'm keen to give it a try.

And cool, so I can make an avatar who looks like a human being now.

Ridiculous dialogue lines and illusionary choices aside, the people's faces look horrid beyond my wildest nightmares.

All these pictures destroyed what little hope I had for this game not raping the series completely. An enjoyable title in its own right it might be, but there's hardly anything 'falloutish' about it.

I hope you won't actually buy the game and support it with your money.

PS. Is anyone here gonna buy and support this original FO killer?

wtf that is horrible. Writing for rotlf islands left the writers insane. That writing is so bad that you can't even make a parody of it, becouse it is one already.

Don't you understand Bethseda is trying to implement the original humor of FO into their game? You guys just don't have any sense of humor. It's just like when Todd said you will find a letter in a mailbox(which funnily survived the nuke blast), saying the family is accepted into vault program and then you find the family's skeletons hugging eachother in the ruined house. You guys went  , while I got it and went

Sheesh..

You were impressed by the fake choices that obviously lead to the same reply and so on? Are you hoping to lower your standards enough that you'll never be disappointed with a game again? Good plan.

I never said fake choices impressed me. What I said - shifting the words around a little - is that, as far as computer game writing goes, I didn't find the dialogue too bad.

As for fake choices: lazy design, yes, but Fallout 1 and 2 both had fake choices, IIRC - maybe I'm wrong here? And I've no idea if they dominate or not at this point.

There are plenty of things to bitch about in FO3, but to me it doesn't look like the paragon of awfulness that many here appear to be want it to be.

I think the "OK" was less a "Well, that's actually pretty OK." and more a "I guess it's kind of OK......sort of....."

Really, the dialogue is pretty poorly done so far. I really wish they wouldn't have screwed that up too. This might have made a mildly enjoyable rent, but now it looks like it's delegated down to pick up off a friend a few years later out of morbid curiosity, pending any miracles.

I mean....what am I supposed to enjoy in this game? Substandard FPS combat and lots of it? Nope. Bethesda style exploration? Nope. Poor dialogue and a likely lame and cliched story? Nuh-uh. Role-playing on Bioware levels? Eh...not really. The butchery of Fallout's setting? Nada. Todd's terrible humor? I'd rather watch a Steve Carrel adaptation of Family Guy. The visuals are even rather hit or miss, and that's usually Bethesda's strong point. In all honesty, I wish I could enjoy this game, because it's always better to make something good out of something bad, but I don't see what to enjoy.

I can't say this looks particularly interesting.
