Because... seriously, they "fix" it RETROACTIVELY. They claimed for whatnotlong they could not "fix" the duped arsenal of explosive energy weapons.. but as soon as they might make less money they suddently can? Okaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay... :hahano:
To be fair, fixing the hat is just ticking a button and updating the esm.

When you have 10 mins to spare, log in and Wanda slaps weeks worth of unused RNGesus credit in your face.

I just check them the first time I login for a day.
The reset counter for things like caps or scrip starts the moment you sell anything, so if you don't have anything on you just sell a 1 cap item or something to get the timer started

20-24 hours is always a safe bet for everything. Wanda (any ally I guess) is wonky tho, one day I could cycle through 3 allies and got 3, some other day I got nuzzink even after over 30 hours....

1. Caps and Legendary resets 20 hours after you sold anything.
2. Faction "dailies" are considered "repeatables" and reset at 8 AM EST. And it's buggy, the servers do not sync the settler daily during the first 20 mins it seems. So you could hop servers and do it several times it seems. Only FOR SCIENCE of course. :obviously:
Normal dailies reset after 22 hours apparently, because... coding in random numbers makes it seem you thought about it I guess?

3. Server plans only have chance to spawn if a new player enter the area, always switch servers to be sure.
4. Also a public loot spawn, hop server to check

Containers are a special case, you have to fill your internal "recently opened" list before they respawn. It's something like 60 containers and 180 "picked up items" for world items. To prevent server hopping.

Is FO76 worth 15 eurobucks by now?
On one hand I kinda want to get it to go dick around in the world, but on the other hand any time I open up any thread on any forum about FO76, people are always talking about grinding. How bad is it?

Yes.

There is no grind except the daily reputation they put in with Wastelanders. And that only if you want a gauss minigun.
The plasma caster is cheaper and available without reputation. Hint: it's crap. Sad.
You can trade in 20 of the new currency per day, getting 9 from the dailies. 2-3 from events. "Grind"..

Aside from that people call "grind" their hunt for "mY mEtA bEsT iN sLoT wEaPoN/aRmOr!"
And since only hackers play PvP, there is nothing you need that for except jerking off to numbers.

If you are not interested in super high end game builds you really dont need to grind anything.

The only time i felt like if i was grinding was when i reached level 10~15 and ended the Wastelanders content "part 1", to start "part 2" you need to be level 20. I had to play though the vanilla content of FO76 and while it wasn't that bad, it feels like you have a moment of "where do i go what do i do" and if you grab a quest that doesn't hook you up, then you will feel it like a grind.

That's when I just started traveling around doing my own thing and visiting random locations tbh. Felt like the beginner Wastelanders quest prepared me to be able to survive on my own in appalachia.

Slowly went through the entirety of Morgantown to find every holotape and note. Took hours, found 28 in total. Did my typical trick of dropping cheap items(I bring corn/tatos grown from my camp) to remind myself if I've cleared a location or not.

One thing FO76 is sorely missing is a local map feature. No idea why they removed it.

I'm running out of steel from blasting shit with high ROF weapons. (.50 cal)

:nocountryforshitposters:

You have seen nothing yet son. The fiddycal has the bestest ammo efficiency out of the automatic weapons. Gatling does not count, it's a fucking hipster weapon used by exploiters.

Is there an easy way to farm steel at lvl 51?
Do the classic ammo grind (TM).
Scrap weapons with scrapper perk for steel. Popular spots are West-Tek or the steak house. XP and legendaries are a bawnus.
Since you also need lead, I would recommend trying the "Lucky Hole" mine first. IIRC it's now populated by cultists (with guns), so you get kill two birds with one stone. Don't forget to wear the Excavator to get 4 times the lead per vein.

Also slot Ammo smith AND super duper when making the bullets.

So I'm seeing a lot of very high level guys with light armor and rifles, and it seems like a cool LARP vs. being a walking mecha. I also like the feel of a suppressed rifle.

I don't want a stealth-sniper, but more of a commando w/ suppressed AR (see avatar)

If i go that route with a rebuild, will I regret it later, or is it a safe meta for the foreseeable future?

Just do whatever you think is fun imo.
At level 50+ you can spend a levelup on moving a single SPECIAL point around rather than picking a perk card(still would take a while to respec, but it's possible.)

I use power armor because it's like my security blanket. I'm so safe and secure when I'm inside a walking weapon of mass destruction.

rusty_shackleford Let me present you with my deepest apologies mate, making fun of the disabled it NOT okay, and I should know better. I can also assure you that I bear no bad ill towards anyone just because they enjoy playing this insectarium simulator live service, as it should be clear by my deep, deeeeep posting history of 30 (with this one) entire posts in this thread, as most of it is just silly banter with other users about non-fallout shit, such as spiders, furry’s and probably your personal favorite, sucking dick.

I merely found highly entertaining that someone 15,000 fuckin posts in this hell hole still hasn’t figured out how to reply to more than one person with a single post, resulting on your sorry ass filling half or more of each page in the thread with 1-line posts such as:

Post 1: *quote* Yes, that is a very pwetty picture.

*2 minute break*

Post 2: Today I ran out of baked bloatfly, so I ate crayons.

DO NOT confuse this with me saying that you shouldn’t do it, or is wrong to do it, as I stated, I merely find it entertaining, I guess that’s something we have in common, we are both easily entertained with shit no matter how dumb it is, so, please, do not feel somehow attacked, I never intended to hurt your feelings, and I fully endorse that sort of autism.

I hope we can just put it all behind us and be friends now.

XOXOXO ~ <3

I just hit 66. I'm trying to bank my perks cards.

I'm currently heavy gunner. I assume switching to AR will take at least 30 levels or so to do it right as I've been unlucky with my pack draws.

I don't like using PA 24/7 because it's noisy and the UI isn't great and I worry about burning fusion cores. I'm enjoying speed demon + marsupial and being a bit more mobile with a smaller form factor. The squishiness is a thing though for sure.

and the UI isn't great
It has the (imo crappy) FO4 power armor UI enabled by default. What the game doesn't tell you is that you can disable this. It's either in the gameplay or video settings to disable powerarmor UI, just uses the default UI with an extra bar for your fusion cores.

People don't use power armor all the time because the dmg bownus from sneak attack + silenced weapon perk on a headshot is just tooo good to pass on. Plus you are fukn slow in it.

The only "meta" that is in question would be bloodied (and maybe junkies), because bloodied just outclasses everything. If I use the LMG I posted above from stealth, I deal 5 digit dmg numbers and Beth's shitty PvP "anti cheat" dmg cap is triggered, locking them at 1hp for a while. Even before the VATS bug that does that all the time now.

But that's independent from what weapon you want to use, so you can safely pick whatever you want (unless you are a min/maxer). And commando with a silenced handmade is very meta right now. Went through too much 5.56 ammo for my tastes tho, so I did not opt for it.

In fact, I built 'dexi as a flexible build. All the important PER/AGI/LCK perks fit in to be a good sneaky sneak sniper, yet enough INT/STR to use the mandatory perks for power armor. Rifleman/Commando can easily be switched if I want to go automatic for a while.

I'm enjoying speed demon + marsupial and being a bit more mobile with a smaller form factor. The squishiness is a thing though for sure.
Speed demon + marsupial are just sooooooooooooooooooooooooo good. Well, all mutations are. Except grounded.
I suggest you look for cheap shitty 1 star bloodied armor parts. They are not meant to protect you, but to increase your stats and carry weight. Since AGI makes you a better sneak.

I have no idea. Never got into markets. Without a mule account to bypass the caps cap (heh), there is no real point selling them in your vendor.
That type of drop would only be traded for another "god roll" anyway I guess, so you would need to look for trade channel.

HOWEVER!

I assume the market is not very healthy right now, since you can CRAFT your own legendary armor (secret service armor) now.
So technically, instead of farming for a specific legendary now, you just farm whatever you can get to pay for all the legendary modules you waste.:hahano:

Also little funfact to show how far ahead Bethesda plans. Or not.

Remember that legendary mask you could get from the early quest? Making it, and only that thing, a 6th armor piece? Bethesda realized that it is now the "best in slot" item for player's heads. And since they swore to only sell cosmetic items without stats in the cash shop... nobody will ever buy any headwear anymore!
Solution: mask gets retroactively downgraded to a clothing item without stats for everyone.
:hearnoevil:
How hard would it be to give it a makeshift vanity slot so you can wear the mask but have it look like cosmetic helmets?
