The Fallout modding community is way more vile, degenerate and downright sickening than the Elder Scrolls community.

With The Frontier though I am more baffled and disgusted. The terrible writing from start to finish, the hubris of the mod authors and the fetish fuel that would have made even the BTK Killer uncomfortable. As someone who is a connoisseur of cringe I absolutely love this. It's just, the more I dig in with this mod the more weird shit I find and have to talk about.
Wow, the Legion here is stupid, cartoonish, objectively evil, and yet they're okay because they're not Trump supporters, I guess.

I wonder how long until Steam quietly removes their mod.

Loverslab is actually pretty softcore. It's just normalfag hysteria and myths that gave loverslab such a horrifying reputation. It's just full of typical porn mod shit: rape, slavery, incest, mind break, tentacles and so on. Loverslab is bush league compared to the shit Fallout gets.

The mod hasn't been approved yet on Steam. I guess the moderators are still looking into the mod and discussing with the mod makers about the assets used. Frontier has the pentagram from Doom 3 and possibly a lot more stolen assets. Pretty sure the mod can't be approved while it uses shit from other IPs.

It's pretty much what I'd expect from FNV fanbase. It always consisted of handful of fans of video game Fallout New Vegas, and a crowd of fans of FNV lore, producing weird fanfics
That goes for fans of any fandom really. There are fans who are like; "Yeah, I enjoy this thing and like talking about it with other fans." then there are the fans with repressed sex fetishes and mental illness. I mean, look at The Legend of Korra, Dreamworks She-ra, Voltron and Steven Universe fanbase. This is a side affect of poor mental health care. It was a mistake for Ronald Regan to close down the mental asylums. Instead of these nutbags being put in a nuthouse, making macaroni art and getting treatment for their vile degeneracy and mental instability they now are treated as "normal" and are allowed to fill the internet with their degeneracy. If you dare say anything bad or are disgusted with them then you are a evil fascist alt-right neo-Nazi that just hates people who are different then you and don't conform to your outdated sensibilities. Such is the hole we have dug for ourselves in current year.

I think it's because the mod authors have a sex slave fetish. The Enclave they pretty much kill anybody indiscriminately because they think anybody outside of the Enclave is a mutant freak that must be purged. The Legion on the other hand are more likely to spare young, fertile women and turn them into breeding stock. Yeah, this thread is basically all of us digging deeper and deeper into the mod authors twisted psyche. Even Twitter is now joining in on the fun from what I've seen. I want to see how much further this rabbit hole goes.

And to think I got excited for this. Too bad. At least I still have Fallout Sonora to look forward to.

Anyhow should have seen this disaster coming. Call of Duty: New Vegas. Making a combat-centered "expansion" on a game with notoriously shitty FPS combat and terrible stability and framerate issues was never gonna be a good idea. At least we got some great laughs out of it, thanks to the poor sods that documented their playthroughs for future generations to see.

I see nothing wrong on being innovative. But to be innovative, I think you have to go backwards before you go forwards: Research what the OG authors were inspired by, and then broaden your search for more material that fits Fallout. In this case, Fallout's main inspiration is the Golden Age of Sci-Fi. So you have to read the sci-fi of that era. Stuff like Starship Troopers, The Kraken Awakens, Day of the Triffids, The Beast Master, A Canticle to Leibowitz, etc.
I would also add the stuff that inspired New Vegas such as ancient Roman history, history of the American Frontier and Reconstruction Era, The Indian Wars, and books like The Postman. All great sources and references. But no! Better to add in current year pop culture crap.

So are there any worthwhile quest/total conversion mods for FNV? Any at all? I watched the "first hour" video above for The Frontier. It was... uncomfortable.
Yes
Autumn Leaves
A Dlc-sized Quest Mod with more than 2000 pro-voiced lines. Delve into a centuries-old library inhabited by sentient machines, and solve Hypatia's mysteries. Five different endings, unique O.S.T.

Download Autumn Leaves. If you want something that is more role playing focus it is the mod to download. It has good writing and good voice acting with an enjoyable story. If you are just looking to BS around then maybe check out DUST. It is a combat focus mod that makes the combat in New Vegas tolerable and can be fun to BS around with.

Oh, good sources too! I have read a lot of those as well for my own mod.

Bronze Age Collapse is also good inspiration. Everyone speaks about Fall of Rome, but Bronze Age Collapse is also fascinating.

Then there's movies like Mad Max.

And tabletop RPGs like Gamma World.

You know what else is no lack in Brazil? Gay activists and trannies that do their thing for a living. (akin to thailand trannies)
Brazil residents have no footing to stand on to act holier than thou.

Well sir, these worms are everywhere these days. So I say you have feet of clay.

Thanks, Morii! Good source, I will ask them if I can use those.

Reading Nick Land as well as Bronze Age Pervert would equip someone exceptionally well to really delve into some of the main themes of Fallout in a more effective way imo.

Seriously though, there are some.

Before I get to mods, you can "restore" Vanilla NV (that is, what was meant to be in FNV in the first place, but had to be Cut Content mostly because of console limitations) by mods like New Vegas Uncut, especially Freeside Open.
https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/46355

There is also "Simply Uncut" that has nice additions like adding i.e. Malpais Legion Camp with quests, or BoS Helios One takeover, or additional Legion quests for i.e. capturing Novac, but it questionably restores/rebuilds everything, including "legacy FO3" content like Chinese Assault Rifle just because it was in the engine. Unfortunately, it comes only in one file.

After that, you should install something like JSawyer's mod, or it's "cleaned" "Ultimate Edition" version.

As for "quest" mods: First and foremost; fuck what the haters say, Based Drunk Texan ftw - Someguy Series, that is, New Vegas Bounties 1/2/3, The Inheritance, Russell etc.

Aforementioned Autumn Leaves it's great, fun fact: Bethesda ripped it off (it's called "inspiration") for Far Harbor DLC for 4

Tales from the Burning Sands, OG Puce Moose's quest mods were not bad.

I didn't check them out yet, but supposedly those are decent: Honest Hearts Reborn, Blood By The Dollar, North Road, War Trash 1&2.

I would argue that NVB3 is very hit or miss. Someguy even stated that he considers it the weakest of his mods. It may be best to watch a playthrough of it first and see if you like it or not.

I would not download Honest Hearts Reborn as it butchers a lot of what made Honest Hearts and Joshua Grahams character great. Not to mention the nonsensical stuff they added to it.

Don't know much about Blood by the Dollar or Burning Sands.

North Road is pretty good and quite a bit of people I've been seeing have been praising the mod author, Th3 Overseer, writing and mods. Shame that his mods have been overshadowed by The Frontier.

Funny story about War Trash is that it was made by one of the writers for The Frontier. Believe it or not it actually had a very interesting premise. Just the execution was poor and some of the characters annoying.

Man, I criticized Fallout 1.5 for sticking way too much to Fallout 1 and 2 and not adding enough new stuff, after this mod, I see the error of my ways. Run as fast as you can when a modder says he wants to be innovative.

I see nothing wrong on being innovative. But to be innovative, I think you have to go backwards before you go forwards: Research what the OG authors were inspired by, and then broaden your search for more material that fits Fallout. Man, the creative process of quality is hard as fuck, Fallout 1 is a pulp story with super mutants with unique art style and ideas never really explored on cRPGs, that evolved into a pulp story with big bad guys in black with an excessive amount of pop culture references and inconsistencies that was showing the beginings of a real world building that culminated into mature world building that took the pulp roots of Fallout 1 and 2 and its unfinished world building and actually added depth to it on Fallout 3: New Vegas.

You cant start from Fallout New Vegas, even if you read alot of stuff, you need to start from Fallout 1, if you cant make some pulp story about fighting some raiders on some forgotten hellhole work and be fun, a little Junktown city that is fun to explore, what makes you think you can create a whole world? The way the chief modder of this thing dismissed New Vegas claiming they wanted to be innovative was a red flag, if you are so arrogant and ignorant to dismiss the lessons of hundreds of people with much more experience than you, you arent innovating, you are a fool.

The same process that lead to garbage like Fallout: Bethesdartion was the same process that lead to this mod, you are incapable of creating because that requires introspection and thinking, so you create a Frankenstein of the most striking pieces stolen from other authors and try to force it all together, fail, then appeal to explosions and spectacle as distraction because no individual part can survive scrutiny. The difference with this mod is that Bethesda must still keep some level of retardation in check and keep some level of polish as they are hoping to sell it, autist arrogant retardation like this: (" I told you, we gonna shut down the Nexus."), when you see that, you know there is no natural obstacle to the diarrhea.

I agree, but it's still say it's a must play even if to conclude the trilogy (and Russell):

- It's a homage to The Great Silence
- The fights (especially in the ending) and setpieces were very memorable memorable
- In general it's well directed, and has superb moments where Gamebryo was used well (i.e. https://youtu.be/cKLMKQ4-g_M?list=PLqgx0jYmg6TY0shPIkyU4L_O1_Jguq-Ez&t=1083)
- That worldspace had nice random encounters, like a
that rumored serial killer cannibal
- It connects nicely to your previous choice(s) from i.e. The Inheritance

Rostok K was kind enough to make a video highlighting one of the tranny devs going off on people making fun of his/hers/they/whatever foot fetish.

Fucking rekt! Also, this dev voiced one of the scalie inserts...
:prosper:

The idea that the other big mod teams will just outright give up, instead of just not taking everyone's OC characters and putting them into the mod, baffling.

It's true. Not only do the people on loverslab manage to create intricate, well thought out and surprisingly complex and engaging mods, but the community on LL is infinitely better than the nexus community. Nexus mods is infested with mentally ill jealous trannies that constantly try to get mods better than theirs removed from the site and the mod authors banned. The one that hurt the most in my opinion was this Jap dude, Nisetanaka, that made legit high quality bikini armor mods. Well, the trannies on nexus didn't take kindly to that, so they pretty much stalked the dude and reported him en masse when he made the heinous mistake of calling someone "fag" in the comments. It wasn't even intended as an insult, just said in a friendly manner. Nisetakana then quit modding after a talk with the nexus mods. He never got to completely finish his mod. I fucking hate those fucking nexus subhuman niggers. May the curse of God befall them all.
