Yeah it's near the end of the first part.

But Jesus I didn't really realize how much of that kid bullshit there really was. I wasn't always watching the stream while recording.

Yeah, it probably will. And I'm very glad. I never expected this to reach these sums. I was happy it was funded but didn't expect it to be funded this much, especially as Fargo was stating all that old school, turn based, party based rpg stuff from the beginning, so there must be more crpg oldfags than I imagined. And because of that, I'm a very happy man. :incline:

I'd like to see the Kickstarter page itself hit 3 mil, and it might just do it with 2 hours left. And who knows when(if) they're planning on shutting the paypal down. (I would guess all but the digital pledges go away)

I don't understand what you are trying to say here, can you elaborate?

Well it may be shut down at the same time as the Kickstarter ends (I kinda doubt this as it'll be like 5am where inXile is located and they all be drunk), or they might keep it open, but if they do keep it open for an extended period I imagine it would probably just be to pre-order the digital goods as they'd want to get the budget for the physical rewards locked down.

Basically there's nothing to prevent them from continuing to take pre-orders for the game itself, so I'm curious to see if they do so.

Kickstarter is what counts , so Wasteland did not reach 3 mill, and less than double fine.

Why decline, I never really expected a old school cRPG collecting more than an prestigious adventure game, also 90K in 1 hour.. I'm not saying it will happen, but it's not over yet.

Firstly, adventure games are not a dead genre, interest in them has been maintained consistently, even if at a relatively low level so there has always been a well established base. The reason DF got so much is not because adventures are dead but because people wanted Tim and co making another proper adventure.

Secondly, adventures have always been more accessible than RPG's of the Wasteland mold, appealing to a wider range of players: young, old, casual, hardcore, male, FEMALE(let's face it, a lot more women play adventure games than RPG's).

DF has 25,000 odd more people backing it for these reasons, yet has less than 400,000 more dollars in funding, giving 10 dollars less per pledge on average than Wasteland 2. Had DF been funded at W2's rate they would have raised 4.3 million.

In conclusion, Wasteland 2 is relatively much more successful than DFA and is in the top 3 KS projects regardless so there!
