This is a good game. Gameplay is passable, but the presentation and setting are great. And excellent music!

When the whorehouse priest says he only acknowledges the old testament, doesn't that make him a jew (not that they would acknowledge him as theirs)?

Well, that didn't take long to finish. Still it was a fun trip, where else do you get a bad guys who
use Zoroastrian fire demon to roast coffee.

This game looks like shit.

But it looks like my kind of shit.

I'll likely buy this once I'm done with my current game.

Very fun, mechanically a bog standard JRPG, with fairly old school sensibilities, feels a bit like Final Fantasy IV or Dragon Quest IV with those fixed characters and such.
Great mood, and the plot thread of the mc
Falling in love with an evil hoe, saving the world, and then letting her go instead of taking vengeance as she still does not love him but he does love her
is personally relatable

The setup is suspiciously familar: Pavel, a failed knight who after getting abandoned by his wife started drinking way too much gets a chance from his lord to redeem himself by investigating a mysterious murder. In his efforts he's supported by Kim Kitsuragi Matej, a monk from the castle's chapel, who serves Pavel as a pillar of stability and common sense. And a bulwark against his numerous vices.
Because that's the Slavic Hero's Journey.

The game is only like 3 hours long, and I thought the combat/dialogue/exploration mixture was okay. Way less combat heavy than a dragon quest, or a final fantasy for that matter. There are no random encounters, and no respawning enemies, and each fight is generally balanced to be at least a moderate challenge to you when you are at full hp.

It is almost as if someone spliced a bit of Gothic into a Dragon Quest on that regard, with the chapel being similar to beds in Gothic, a somewhat clumsy but free way to heal to full hp in the safety of a city.

There is a potato translation now, since autumn I think. Not that I couldn't understand the english version, but the flow of the writing style is easier to digest in potato. Especially when some text likes to progress without confirmation.

I bought the game not long after release, I do like it, stopped half way through and have not returned yet for some reason.

Just finished it, great game liked it a lot. Good atmosphere, some funny dialogue, love the visuals & great setting. I would absolutely LOVE a more indepth RPG in a setting like this. Hell, make the same game just more content, more C&C & better combat, I'd kill for that.

Unfortunately realized screenshots weren't working until way too late but I did manage to capture the moment I went from liking the game to loving it:smug:

By the way, I get the tagline says "JRPG" but this really feels like it should be in GRPG. If Binding of Isaac gets a thread, so should've this.

TheImplodingVoice the potato translation is not ai (might be assisted, most things are). The dialogues are stylish and I'd say hit much harder than the westarded version. Some lines are so juicy I can't wait to use them irl.

I've finished the game. It's great for what it is, which is an adventure game with rudementary gameplay systems to keep your clicky gamer mind involved. It looks great, flows smoothly and is often funny as fuck.

It's not a crpg. Might clasify as jrpg, I wouldn't know actually. I wish the systems were something more than set-dressing, but they are as uninvolved as the steoretypical jrpg. FFVI was like that. Felvidek is shorter so I barely had time to mind.
