Right? Kinda uncanny. WoW killed itself in the end, but ... seems like this game certainly gave it a helping hand.

Was cool to hear they're moving further and further towards making the main story a totally singleplayer friendly experience, so FF fans don't have a reason to skip on it even if they've zero interest in online games and the sorts of experiences that come with that.

They have that system in FFXI actually; so you never know...

Wrong there are actually quite large zone with open world heavy oriented combat. Check out the resistance questline and eureka. You cant use the trust there but you can spec your chocobo in an additional role. There are people that often form party with the party finder for fates and open world bosses.

Not yet but recently they are working in that direction allowing you to do dungeon and content with npcs or conpanions. Is not just 100% ready yet.

What are you talking about? Half of the triggering stuff about this game is found in the settings panel.

For example, did you know you can see ALL your bags at the same time?!? Nuts! Nuts, I tell you!
