How often do you contact them and do they actually help? I very rarely do it and when I do they are basically useless. Better use the web search.

I remember contacting Epic Games support. They had a new support agent every day. One day it was someone with a nickname PrincessBubbles or something like that (I kid you not). The email was like "Hello, I'm PrincessBubbles and I'm here to help you..." and bla bla bla.

Last time i did was in 2015 when i contacted Techland support over bad performance in Dying Ligh and they were surprisingly helpful.

But these interractions feel very robotic nowadays so i prefer to rely on search or sometimes bitch about the issue on steam forums.

Strap Yourselves In Codex Year of the Donut Codex+ Now Streaming! Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is. Torment: Tides of Numenera Wasteland 2 Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Didn't Epic move most of its player support to India? Or at least I thought so. And yes, PS has a huge turnover and it's often someone's first job because they couldn't find better yet.

Posted a few bug reports on steam forums for indie games and they are usually fixed inside of a week. I remember posting a few battle brothers bug reports here and getting them fixed fast even. The bigger the company the bigger the gulf between community managers, developers and players.

Bug reporting is different. You are not asking for help, you are actually helping them.

Never really met a problem I couldn't work around with enough searching otherwise. I admit I had a really rare instance of IWD 2 scripts not firing properly that took so much googling that I almost gave it up back in 2017 when I finally got around to playing the game.

Thats why I only use it as a last resort. Some shut simply cannot be found. Like I received a Smite 2 access key as a twitch drop but activating it resulted in an error. Epic games support was helpful enough to tell me to go fuck myself and contact Hi Rez instead.

Every time I have got banned for 1 week to 1 month in a mmorpg and contacted game support, I have ended up being permanently banned. So, not very helpful imo

I file bug reports if there's a procedure for it. Nothing but positive experiences.
This. If you can't even be assed to put a sticky thread with "Please post reproducible bugs here" (which is itself a poor sub for a proper bug tracker), I'm not going to bother potentially shouting at the sky hoping to be heard.

Of course, I'm so burned by new games most everything I've played isn't getting patched anymore.

Found this little review of SMITE 2 on steam

I would give this game a better review but Hi-Rez is very likely the absolute WORST company to deal with support on. You could get a better reply rate from a graveyard. They could not get any worse at customer support if they all died, hell it might make things easier. Worst customer support in a video game -1000000000000000/10 goes to Hi-Rez, fix your support and I will fix my review.
