They don't want to compete with bundle sites, because indie bundle sites are not trustworthy in the way that you can't count on them selling the games you want. It is too random. As with Steam, I think they know well that they don't can't compete with them, they just want to provide an alternative for those who want DRM free stuff. Being DRM free migt not be a big thing to everyone, but there are quite a lot of people, who prefer that.
Good news, 99% of all the indie games being sold are complete trash. Thank goodness I don't have to count on those horrible indie bundles for 99 cents (or GOG).

GOG is often cheaper than Steam in some regions due to its flat price policy. (Edit: Not sure if "flat price" is the correct term, but basically I mean that they charge the same amount wherever you live instead of doing something like 1$ = 1€ as Steam often does.)
More good news, I live in the land of freedom so I care the same amount about regional pricing as due finding the games I want in a crappy indie bundle and/or on gog.
So you don't care about GOG at all. Good for you. Why are you in this thread at all then?
How many GOG games do you have? Want to compare libraries? I'm here to continuously express my displeasure with GOGs smorgasbord of indie crap that seems to be all they put out as of late.
Comparing dicks is not my style, thank you. Yes, they are releasing indie stuff, yet they are constantly releasing old games too. Your problem?

You and I have a different definition of constantly it seems.

Well, they released the final two Kyrandia games just a few days ago. Your opinion would have more merit if you could point out a time where weeks had gone by with no old game release.

Who the fuck cares if they sell indie games or live-action porno's set in the Witcher universe? It's rather obvious that their hands are tied when it comes to releasing oldies from certain companies like LucasArts.

Hehe retards are still paying potato geniuses for the privilege of downloading poorly configured "drm free" dos games.

Fascinating stuff.

I'm sorry I'm just not hardcore enough to buy these ancient games again in "digital form". I might consider buying games like Interstate 76 if they would actually work properly on modern hardware... but they don't.

Gog even fails at making dos games run as they should, try playing the recently re-released "I have no mouth and i must scream".

It will work great... if you configure Dosbox yourself or if you download and use ScummVm.

You're poor, we get it. Great, now go away. This thread is only for bitching about the lack of good old games and dick sucking no DRM schemes.

So you're fine with paying for these barely functioning games while at the same time giving money to the developers of QTE RPG the witcher 2, effectively funding the decline.

There never was a lack of "good old games", unless of course you're one of those darwinian nightmares who require and wait for a click and play re-release.
But you just said they weren't point and click re-releases, and that they require as much configuration as doing it yourself. Which is it, Astral Rag? WHICH IS IT?

GOG needs to support Linux. Are they just unaware that DOSBox is available for Linux?

What version of Dungeon Keeper Gold do they use? And does it still pretty much demand the use of KeeperFX to be playable?

It's a bundle with a Dosbox, which is badly configured and the game is too slow. I just use my custom one, and it worked like a charm. Although in higher resolution with more monsters on screen will give you a low fps count. Keeperfx works with gog version, and the speed is way better.

Here is a useful link if you want to mod DK.

Given that Grunker complained about "extraneous skills" in Wasteland 2, he'd probably have an aneurysm looking at that skill list.

Well, the thing is that almost all of these skills have a use, one way or another, although it's not always readily apparent. I still haven't found a use for Ciphering and I never saw a skill check for it when I played the game :/

Yeah, some skills there are not presented as much as others but there is skill check for ciphering aswell, although getting to it will take few playthroughs from people who do not know the game.(or read walkthrough)

Long Live the Queen is nice game though.
