Trigger warning: marketing :D

If you're looking for something that doesn't involve platforms, puzzles, pointing, clicking, or rubbing various objects together in order to solve a puzzle, why not give Smugglers V a whirl? Be the pirate, commander, fleet officer, trader you always wanted to be! :D

(Also, the game has a free demo: http://www.gamershell.com/download_100315.shtml )

Since you guys got Knock-Knock and already have Pathologic, is there any plans for The Void to go to GOG? I already have it on GG but more exposure for that game is good given how great it is.

I don't know, dude, as that's not my department and you know I can't talk about that kind of stuff :/

(I wish I could, though, because I like sharing good news for its own sake but I like having a job more :D )

I personally wouldn't say no to having Ice-Pick Lodge's The Void but that's just me speaking for myself :P

Any plans for less indie trash that's cheaper in bundles and on steam and more "Good Old Games"?

Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is.
The Redneck Rampage jab is hillarious but galactically stupid from a business viewpoint. A business should NEVER hint on its political inclinations since it immediately gets on the wrong side of the other half of its customers.

It's like when the Whole Foods chain owner admited his libertarian leanings and voiced some opposition to Obamacare and was immediately boycotted by a good chunk of his traditional liberal customer base. Or when the Home Depot gave some money to same sex marriage lobby groups and the bible thumpers boycotted it en masse for a time.

But maybe GOG can afford a stunt like this since most gamers hail from the white rich instinctively-liberal strata or don't give a fuck about politics at all.

EDIT: what's with the autocorrect bullshit? I don't even know what "undomesticated snowman" means. Is it some American-politics insider joke?

Dragon Commander + DLC is 40% off for the next three days.

Also, it appears that The Witcher is free with any purchase for the next week (apparently you get a giftable copy if you already own it).

True, however I don't think people in Poland (or Europe in general) largely finding our Republican party to be full of idiots is much of a revelation.

Like we don't know that the GOG guys are huge lieberals, just like their fanbase is. Shameful for a crew of mostly Polish people.

Anyway I wonder when they will run out of classic games to release, at some point the well will dry out, the low-hanging fruit has been all gone for a while.

I would like a remaster of Myth 1 and 2, but I think that's owned by 2K, one of the publishers who refused to commit to the platform.

I know right, I mean that's all GOG sells, classic games. They haven't expanded their offerings to include new indie games or anything like that, ever.

Regardless of whether they sell indie games too, at some point they're going to run out of good old games to sell.

They're already plugging holes with indie games, surely. I doubt a ton of classics are waiting on a shelf for release while they focus on crap like Mutant Mudds.

Uh, they ran out about a year ago and have now switched to hipster "art" games.

speaking of this promo, any possible hidden gems in this list that codex might recommend?

EA and "hidden gems" does not compute. Well, everything if you miss whole '90 for PC gaming.

My choice is Ultima Underworld. Heard some about Ultima series (don't kick me, Ultima series is not popular in potato) then found opportunity to grab it for free* from old CDP shop and got total blast.
*actually, I bought it for "CDP vrtual currency" that vanished with old CDP shop.

And Nox. I'm not fan of h'n's but this game rocks.

The Crusader games are worthy. If you are unsure, buy only No Regret. Both are good games. but fatigue can kick in after 25 levels. Some guys have problems with the controls.

Undying is better than it seems. Solid FPS, nice setting and dubbing, colourful weaponry and enemies. However, Undying has some big flaws also: the first act occupies about 50% of the game, and a lot of things after that, especially the last levels, have this bad "rushed" feeling. Try the demo that's still floating on da net and see if it suits you.

Bioforge is also a flawed and unknown gem. Quite bad control scheme, but it is one of those games you play for the weird atmosphere. How to describe it... a mix of adventure and combat? It's one of those experiments no one else followed.

Nox is average, IMHO.
