Stronghold and Crusader HD are out. Good if you're a widescreenfag I guess.

I've never played Crusader, but for < $5 you can't go wrong with the original game.

Crusader is more strategic than the original; but also more unbalanced in a way. The desert setting and new leaders make it worthwhile though.

Yes. But note:

WC1+2 - No expansion packs, not the enhanced Kilrath Saga versions
WC3 - Not the enhanced Kilrathi Saga version
WC Privateer - No expansion pack
