DICTIONARY-FREE GAMES: THE COMMUNITY LANGUAGE PACK

Keep an eye out for these localized game versions that just hit our catalog.

Throughout the years, many of the games that are part of GOG.com have seen localized releases and we ventured to collect many of them with the help of our dedicated community and a thorough search through our master archives. Today, 21 of these elusive releases enter our wonderful, digitized catalog.

Learning a foreign language is no easy task, although games have been known to expedite the process. And hunting down localized versions comes with its own challenges but we are not ones to give up easily. Besides, we were not alone in this noble quest. Many of the localized versions on this list come from our personal collections, others we acquired through persistent eBay hunting, but a good number of them were submitted by members of our wonderful multilingual community, that humbled us with their generosity. Let’s take a moment to offer these people a resounding high-five and a warm "thank you" for making this Community Language Pack possible with their contributions.

Without further ado, let's take a look at the extensive list of localized versions, debuting today on GOG.com:

A huge thanks to all these people and the team at ScummVM.org for their numerous donations — both physical and digital. Good job, you guys. We may speak different languages, live in different parts of the world, or even enjoy different genres. But we are all gamers, and that's a word that sounds awesome in every language, n'est pas?

Note: These language versions will be getting gradually rolled out today, so don't fret if you don't see your language version right away.

Yeah, I noticed that Gothic 2 is still strangely popular in Poland and Russia. I was looking into Gothic 2 mods last year, and it looked like vast majority of them come from Poland and Russia or Ukraine (and, only a small part gets translated to English). Not to mention tons of of G2 videos in their respective languages you'll stumble upon if you browse YT for Gothic 2 content...

This [Slain!] looked amazing from all the trailers and gifs devs were releasing, but user reviews and player comments so far are really damning... Shame.

The amount of Bad English in the intro alone made me highly suspicious of this game's quality.

Gone Home, Quest for Infamy, Order of the Thorne, Pilot Brothers, Lumino City, Samorost 2, Never Alone Arctic Collection, Among the Sleep, and the Curious Expedition (in development).

As for some future games, Deponia Doomsday is coming to GOG on April the 7th, Way of the Samurai 3 likely coming at some point, Battle Chasers: Night War coming, Factorio almost certainly coming, Door Kickers 2 coming and The Count Lucanor likely coming.

OpenXcom has pretty much rendered the original obsolete, but this is good for Terror From the Deep and X-Com: Apocalypse.

Original Pirates! is best Pirates!, though

Wonder if we might see stuff like Vietcong or H&D series. They were unwilling to release them on Steam, and as unwilling to answer any inquiries about their reasons.

Most likely they'll bring Duke Nukem back and also bring the first Bioshock, which was made drm free by Humble Bundle recently.

Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is. Serpent in the Staglands Dead State Divinity: Original Sin Project: Eternity Torment: Tides of Numenera Wasteland 2 Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 A Beautifully Desolate Campaign Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Pathfinder: Kingmaker Pathfinder: Wrath I'm very into cock and ball torture I helped put crap in Monomyth
All of the games released today are also on Steam, so there is a chance they have no intention of releasing anything that wasn't already available.

I hope so, still hold my Vietcong Anthology (bought for $3, found in random store on random shelf) without fear of being taken away due copyright issues.
Because the music is the sole reason it's not available for sell (it work on my Win764bit), see - Mafia games.

Yeah, licensed music is probably the sole reason for 2K Czech/Illusion's "period piece" games being absent or removed from digital distribution, even tho 2K never confirmed it. Still, it would be nice to see them on sale, even if that meant that problematic tracks are to be removed from digital releases (kinda like what RS did with San Andreas).

Is Freedom Force good? Being a comic book fag the setting is relevant to my interests.

Aye as Siveon said its dogs bollocks. Best thing about it is mods though, theres skins out there to play as almost any DC or Marvel character, mah fave is old Cap Britain cos i've always liked that design, Thors good though an Dark Hulk.

Great news. Hopefully there's a chance of the Myth series showing up.
Was it confirmed that rights for Myth games are in 2K's hands?

Speaking of Mafia/Vietcong/H&D games, that would be great but I don't see it happening. 2K couldn't be arsed to deal with legal issues even for something as recent as Mafia 2 (not to mention how that series is "hot" again since there is a new one coming out, but they still failed to put any effort into fixing legal issues with original games).
