I wonder if anyone is buying the Dragonspear Deluxe edition. It's twice as expensive and all it adds is the soundtracks.

Enhanced Edition Bundle for those that want the other Beamdog games: https://af.gog.com/promo/special_promo_beamdog_games?as=1649904300

Interesting news:
On April 29, Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition, Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition, and Icewind Dale: Enhanced Edition will be expanded to include the classic versions – each becoming the Definitive Edition Bundle and not available for purchase separately. If you already own the classics on GOG.com, the games currently on your shelf won't be affected.
One little additional detail here that is easy to overlook:

If I click on that bundle link up there, I'll get a price of €18.87 shown. But if you already have the normal versions of BG, BG2 and IWD in your GOG library, the price for each of those games reduces to €2.69, or €8.07 for all three enhanced editions together.

Edit: The price reduction only happens in the cart, so put the game(s) there.

Elven Lagacy + Fantasy Wars pack worth it for 5$? I remember "trying" them some years ago, but never spent much time with them, does the "late game" hold up?

Fantasy Wars definitely is, but I haven't given Elven Legacy enough time to make a serious judgement there. They're definitely not games to ironman, though, at least on hard.

Just laughed about the same.

Bought the BG1+BG2 EE, a fair deal.
Will wait for that addon till it improves patchwise and I have the urge to try BG again.

Does anybody know where the modding scene is for the EE versions? Is there anything like the Big World Project for the original ones? Any recommended mods?

WTF are potato and german games doing here?

It's not just about russian games, it's also about the forum having a russian section, and also games that support russian language.

Small correction:

We already had a Russian section of the forums :) We simply added more Russian language support for games as well as launching 3 games from Russia :)

Thanks, bought both.

tried 2 a long time ago and thought it was confusing. I was told 1 was meant to be better.

I bought Subterrain yesterday evening looking for some less serious entertainment.
Looks good so far, reminds me on superficial level of one of those Aliens infesting the colony games (can't really remember the title), that I played on Amiga back in the day.
There is a dedicated thread here on 'dex with some good impressions. Apparently there is some kind of addon/ act 2 in the works.

Codex 2014 Make the Codex Great Again! Grab the Codex by the pussy

I tried this one out a while back. It's very similar to "Never Alone" in that it's more of an introduction to a small culture than a game - in this case it's the culture of the Norse sagas, as told by Iceland. All voicework is in Icelandic, but subtitles are available for various languages, so linguaphiliacs (if that's a word) will surely find something of interest here.

Nice. That wasn't it, but you gave me a hint what to look for - it was Alien Breed: Tower Assault.
I distinctively remember the magazines and "outdoor" locations:

Don't expect Enter the Gungeon to be as fun as either BoI or Nuclear Throne. It's got some good ideas like the ability to teleport around a level, space for more than one active item, and a great theme. Unfortunately most weapons you find are trash, enemies take too many hits to kill (and in fact the health of a given enemy type isn't constant: it goes up over the course of a game!), reloading your weapon isn't fun, rolling isn't fun (and I love this mechanic in other games), and the first floor is too easy and too long. In short: its good ideas are offset by the game's meandering pace which robs it of the replayability that roguelites typically enjoy. I played it for 2 hours and got a refund.

It would be quite easy for the devs to fix most of the issues I listed with a simple balance patch, but I have no idea whether they consider these aspects of the game paramount to their vision.

EDIT: oh and if you think BoI has too much RNG, you ain't seen shit.

It's much than Nuclear Throne for a very obvious reason that anyone with a pair of working eyes will be able to tell you about.

You can unlock an NPC that lets you skip the first level(perhaps more?) if you give him some shit to unlock it(like 100 bullets and 3 blanks).

Obviously some nights are more prone to good news than others (), and in particular in relation to games that a certain Leonard Boyarsky worked on. So it seems that vtm : Bloodlines will release this year on GOG among others titles from Activision.

https://af.gog.com/forum/general/wh...s_games_we_actually_want/post18?as=1649904300

This SCPM dude is very reliable for news of release on GOG. So I think it has a high chance of becoming true, without any dates that said. Others activision titles could be throne of darkness and others old sierra titles... :smug:

EDIT : There are also rumors circling around for a Black and White release... Not totaly convinced that said with Microsoft.

My team has the sexiest and deadliest waifus you can recruit.
Colonial India actually sounds like an interesting RPG setting. Never heard of Kim before though. Might check it out after full release and a few brave codexers have given it a whirl.
