There are a lot of troubleshooting options in that guide which was posted about how you can set up the expansions. You might want to check there.

Dungeon Siege games and nuDeus Ex games are now on GOG and have some deep discounts(85% off)
And Mankind Divided doesn't have a Linux version. I know it has to do with port makers(Feral), but damn, if GOG isn't linux-friendly despite supposedly more demand of drm-free games on linux(per capita).

Hot take: The games from Telltale were never that good.
Bullshit! Puzzle Agent was awesome.

Linux has less than 1% in the Steam user surveys, and GOG has 1/10th of Steam's market share. Mankind Divided undersold expectations already. Nobody actually gives a shit.

GOG Is not Linux friendly. It's just so happens that most of their catalogue of old games work on WINE or have source ports.
Many of the newish games they have also work on Linux, but those games are easily available elsewhere.
Lastly, Galaxy is Windows only (people have gotten it to work with WINE/Lutris).

GOG updated itself to 2.0 and removed all my carefully-set tags ;_;

Luckily, you can still download 1.2 and prevent it from auto updating, and the tags are still available as they are apparently set on the GOG website itself.:positive:

I don't see how this is GOG's fault when the developer of the Linux/Mac version doesn't want to release their ports on GOG. My conspiracy theory: Feral is being paid off by Valve. They want Linux users to be completely locked into Steam.

You can say the same about games being DRM-free, yet some still do give a shit.

I know it's not GOG's fault, but they aren't actively pursuing it either with their client not being on Linux, which is a total bummer.

"Nobody gives a shit" is shorthand for "there is not a sizable enough market for that to make it worthwhile for a company to invest time and resources to do it." And yes, the same applies to a "not Steam" release or DRM free release in a ton of cases, sadly.

Feral is really small. They probably prefer Steam. They also seem to dabble in Linux oriented gaming optimizations, so it would make sense that they prefer to stick with Valve.

https://www.ign.com/articles/streets-of-rage-4-gog-online-multiplayer

Streets of Rage 4 Has No Online Multiplayer if Bought From GOG.com and Is Still Full Price
Brawl, but only on your local streets.

PC copies of Streets of Rage 4 purchased from GOG.com do not support online multiplayer, despite being priced the same as the Steam version that does feature online capabilities. The GOG store page for Streets of Rage 4 has a disclaimer stating: “Please note that at this time, the DRM-Free version supports local co-op only with up to 4 players.

While that note claims there is no online mode “at this time”, a tweet from developer Lizardcube suggests that online won’t be coming to the GOG version of the game. “Unfortunately the GOG version of the game won’t be supporting online features,” the studio said in response to a fan asking about cross-play with Steam users.

Both the Steam and GOG.com versions of the game are priced at $27.99/£22.49 (currently with a 10% discount), but the Steam version allows players to team up online for PvP Battle Mode fights or co-op play. Multiplayer is available in the GOG version, but only locally.

We’ve reached out to Lizardcube for further clarification.

Hey guys I bought dungeon siege and got the Ultima 5 lazarus mod working. You do not need the dlc. The dlc actually causes the mod to crash. I am pretty sure that the Ultima 6 project mod works the same way so no need for dlc.

So, it looks like the GoG version of DE-MD is borked. Square Enix provided the Poles with a Denuvo-free .exe, but it still requires Steam calls for DLCs to work. GoG used a .dll wrapper to redirect these to Galaxy, but... The DLCs won't work if you don't have Galaxy client running in background.

DRAMA thread here.

This is a very interesting case. Square Enix/eidos gave GOG the
unprotected binary but they left all the Steam stuff intact, probably
because Square Enix didnt want to waste any of that sweet MTX money
on dev work. So GOG had to add a platform bridge called Ghost to the
game. Its a wrapper that translates the Steam calls and redirects
them to GOG Galaxy so the DLC get unlocked. This brings us to the
unique situation where a GOG game, for the first time ever, actually
needs a crack, which is essentially just a normal Steam crack without
custom platform bridges. Enjoy!
Too bad that Deus Ex Mankind Divided Digital Deluxe Edition PROPER-PLAZA is almost 50 GB big...

If any of you nigz would be kind enough to upload only the PLAZA crack somewhere, PM me pls. I want to test if it actually works with GoG version (offline installer, no Galaxy), but don't want to waste ~30 GB to download Fitgirl's repack (plus ~50 GB of offline installers from GoG OFC) just to grab an .exe and some .dll.

Why so much fuss over DE MD?? Unfinished, unoptimised, unbalanced game with boring story and characters that totally buried DE franchise. Also shoved in sjw agenda (disliking augmented people=racism). Like who cares if its DRM free or not. Skip it all together.

Guess what: the DLC for Dungeon Siege III also does not work without Galaxy:

cannot comment on the game since i havent played it. but wasnt exactly the opposite of sjw? sjw hated and boycotted it, since iirc what i have heard the whole augmented vs not augmented ( aka race war) was a plot of the elite

Check the thread @ GoG. DS3 is indeed fucked up, but it's "just a faulty installer" for ENG version.

Do they even test their shit before uploading it nowadays?

There's a ton of GOG versions that lack Steam's online features. It's a very singleplayer focused site, overall.
So? Even if they were singleplayer focused, missing features shouldn't be the norm.

And besides, considering the way they're trying to cram their client down everyone's throats, they'd better have those online features! Though to be honest, getting Steam and Galaxy cross-play to work properly seems to be a bit of a pain. Both Ancestors Legacy and Dusk only arrived on gog after considerable delay (Dusk took well over half a year, despite the dev - a gog forum member - being very eager to release on gog).

It would be nice to live in a world where multiplayer was still LAN, private server and DRM free friendly, but unfortunately that world ended a long time ago thanks to Xbox Live and Steamworks. GOG has a much smaller market share and I doubt it's easy to convince anyone to make all new multiplayer functionality for their versions.
