Wouldn't the right thing be to give us both of them like they've done for quite a few other games?

Sure, it wouldn't hurt. With that said, WizGold can be a tough nut to crack when it comes to making it run correctly on any OS that isn't Win 95/98/2000 (it's pretty crash-prone, plus you need to apply a patch preventing the text from scrolling too quickly), so VirtualBox might be the optimal way to play the game these days - I sincerely doubt GOG would be able to fix all the compatibility issues.

Ah, of course. Well some emulated games give troubles when one tries to play them with a keyboard, but given the interface and their nature I don't think the Wizardry remakes are amongst those.
