Codex 2014 Make the Codex Great Again! Grab the Codex by the pussy
I'm surprised that titles like Tactical Breach Wizards and UFO 50 got nods.

UFO 50 has barely been out for a couple of weeks, and people are still delving through it.

How are the nominees in this category supposed to compete against each other? (Well this applies to the most of the other entries as well, but this one is particularly puzzling).

Great... I thought this was about the newest and best gamepads, controllers, and devices that came out for gaming this year.

Meh!

I don't really care. Even if DD2 didn't get left out in favor of the faggot game and won the whole thing I would have just gave a thumbs up and forgot about them. Looking at their other nominations makes it obvious how sketchy they are. One right wouldn't have made them right.

who cares about turdstick awards.

only rpgcodex RPG of the Year award matters.
Seriously, what other game competes with this? Not trying to take anything away from DD2's inevitable victory, it's outstanding, but this has been an extra shit year for RPGs. Feels like a blowout victory, kind of like Trump's victory.

Game award shows have always been trash.
Imagine putting a bunch of nerds in a large room and expect serious entertainment...
You get only autism and cringe instead.

It's neck and neck between DD2 and Stellar Blade so this awards show means nothing to me. I'm sure it wont mean anything to anyone in a year or two if they keep making nominations based on their insane ideology LOL.

For me it seems like a pretty lousy slow year and I played more stuff than I usually do in my late stage alcoholism. DD2 and Stellar Blade are the cream of the crop 100% and are neck & neck. Other nominees would be Space Marine 2, RE4make, Zelda: EoW, Elden Ring SotE, and even BLOPS 6 because it's honestly p fun.

But DD2 and Stellar Butt are the only two that flirt with greatness imo.

Half of the games I never even heard about, lots of console stuff, almost no RPGs, it's a joke list
