The UI looks off. Inconsistent. Its not well thought out.
It's a work in progress, that's how games develop. But, is there anything specific? Except for the diffferent X in the NPC dialog?
It does not look consistent. UI are quite hard to get right. It looks odd to me, the ornate fussy portrait and the minimalist look of the rest of the dialogue, and then theres the clown style X button.

And I also suggest getting a native English speaker to write, or at least check your scripts. They are odd or just off.

For example "sire" means to breed, which is kind of implied in the context of the script you have.

Thanks, I just thought it's another way to write Sir, heh.
I can actually use AI to go over the text. Didn't do it yet.

i read that as GOLEM and thought the game would be about creating minions from clay to clear dungeons for you, which honestly sounds cooler than what this actually is

And this one; However I can not let you in in the middle of the night.

I would rephrase that to something like; However I cannot let you in whilst its night.

yes as a verb, "to sire", but as a noun

: a man of rank or authority
especially : LORD

—used formerly as a form of address and as a title
Obviously. But in this context its wrong to use the word "sire". "a sire of good standing" sounds like someone is talking about a stallion or prize bull used for breeding purposes.

Why is that? Good standing means that he is trustworthy?

It could be depending on context, but I would say good standing implies station, that is, his rank in society. Upstanding, good character would be trustworthy.

I would try to find vocabulary that low ranking guards would use. They would probably sound more common, and use more common, anglo saxon origin words as well. Material from older books could have some lines you could steal.

Looks decent?

Too much empty space in the dialog box. Also, popping the dialog directly over the in-game 3D asset is not ideal.

Make the dialog box WAY skinner (more rectangular) and put it UNDER the 3D asset so you can see the guy you are actually talking with. Will have to scale the 2D portrait down obviously but it is less jarring.

My "free" gamedev/UI critique, hope it helps!

This is the ending of the Demo, so if you don't like SPOILERS, don't watch.

Tell me what you think:

Seems like a descent ending narrative crawl for what you are attempting. Not sure that final boss is "Le Epic" enough though would be my only critical feedback.

It's not the ending of the game, it's just the ending of the Demo. And the "first episode" cutscenes.
Kind of like in the diablo you move to a new area.
