Eh? The fact that Namco Bandai will be the publisher for The Witcher 2 was known for a while now.

Atari also funded marketing for The Witcher 1 in foreign areas iirc.

But I don't remember them loaning any money to CDP. So yes, I stand corrected, this is a new (and risky, since if CDP do not finish the project, they will most likely disappear) arrangement.

edit: Actually, that's quite interesting. It's a "non-repayable loan"... but it will be deduced from the royalties later on.

And Namco won't pay for marketing in Europe.

I still think that this means Optimus is in deep financial trouble, and is either trying to spin off projects or get external backing for them. Basically, it wouldn't surprise me to learn that CDP is up for grabs.

Optimus was just a way to get CDP on the stock market. Since we know CDP has problems, Optimus has problems.
