You know what?

I just got locked out of a shit ton of content, rewards and exploration because killing the first chapter boss automatically advances you to the next chapter.
Just stumbled upon the fight by accident and of course the game doesn't tell you that is a point of no return. And since there are no saves to load, that's it, you are stuck in the next chapter now
That is too insanely dumb to bear.

Changed my rating to a thumbs down.
Fuck this game.
I can't even remember the last time a game pissed me off this much

Yeah, it looks like the devs are imbeciles. They simply don't want to implement the most requested features because of their special design philosophy. I guess they don't like money and they don't care about their reputation.

Well, good for them.

thesheeep maybe they fixed your softlock situation but I guess they already lost you as a customer.

Why do devs insist on mandatory single save files for their games that don't need it?

Especially when their games are bugged/poorly designed?

I don't get it. Is that a dev club that gives you extra attention for locked save files?

The reason is gaming autism. There is a phobia in "hardcore" gamers that having the option to save would mean they must play the game with one finger rupturing the f6 key

They could just use checkpoints to save. This problem has been solved for decades.

Gaming autism? The game was obviously switched, possibly multiple times, when it comes to general direction, stuck in a non-developer limbo and then booted out of the door to get at least some sales.

Not only does the game not need it, its structure with completely unconnected chapters you cannot travel between goes completely counter to the idea.

It is truly bizarre how the game is at odds with its own design. What a waste of some obviously talented people in the team.
