Heh, and here I thought there would be no drama after the release of the damn game.

The updates are getting more and more hilarious. Wonder, what functionality he breaks next.

I mean, I've had zero critical errors since release, so I'm a bit bemused.

I suppose Cleve is currently in the process of frantically completing the patching?

I'm fairly certain I'll enjoy the game once it's.. you know, actually complete, and I wish dude all the best for having made it...

...that said, being on the Grimoire's Steam forum is like having front row tickets to a shit show. I'm enjoying the hell out of it.

I'll just play patch #1. Seems fine.

I think I'll stick to that as well, even though the patch #1 saves now work in the newest update. I just checked.

you can resurrect mistral? Oo
that would be kind of unexpectedly epic.

Does Argosyre or Gorlo have any custom reactions if you have Mistral in your party? That would be kind of neat.

Can anyone confirm that they resurrected Mistral in the release version? Also, what about that Alonzo guy? I tried raise dead, but it does nothing.

Er, one last post about this... a user responded with a total gem after the latest round of Spin the Glitch Wheel patch:

"Clicking library makes me loop back to the main menu. And when I boot from quick start my sage is dead but alive at the same time. He has no portrait nor does he have any gear. Clicking on him levels him up to 2."

Wondering the same... to stay on 1 or move to 9... I wonder about future compatibility for patch 1 saves if I carry on playing that but decide to update later on.

Waiting for a Baxander video telling everyone to chill, and Cleve's got everything under control.
I couldn't catch my breath for the longest time !

Anyway, yeah, I've gone into the properties for Grimoire in my library and allowed it only to update when I launch it. Seems like a safe precaution.

I also now have 2 backup folders, 1.2.0.1 and 1.2.0.7 (for char library mostly).

Also interesting: Under properties->Betas I did find there was a beta option available, called [release], so maybe Cleve is experimenting with beta branches, or he has some time ago already, but in any case it's promising and makes him letting people test stuff first likelier.

If need be, we can always download multiple versions and open/save in each one to bring our games up to date. Sounds far safer than running any updates this week.

This is the best option for now, so you can backup your current saves etc before they are potentially broken by an update. Too bad Steam doesn't allow you to stop auto updates completely outside of forcing offline mode.

This guy is streaming the crashes. At least he's taking in a good mood.

Whahahahaahahaa sorry folks but this latest batch of stuff is CRACKING me up! One viewer commented: Y2K bug kicking in

They are half-trolling him and it's just the best stream ever!

The way the guy is taking everything, being extremely humorous about it, makes it even better.

Grimwah has a magical aura that makes people happy even when it doesn't work.

Indeed it may be best to wait while some of our monocled compatriots help our most esteemed host polish this wonderful gem a little more. Meanwhile, while enjoying the show at Steam, taking a Brandy with some Might and Magic or Wizardry will do nicely.

Just creating the folder seems to fix the problem. Now my newer savegame doesn't work but the older ones that previously didn't work, now can be played. Go figure.

It appears that all locked doors and chests have "Re-locked" themselves since this patch. I found a chest i had looted before the patch...picked the lock again, and looted it again, which i thought was nice....until i tried to leave the area, which i picked the lock of a door to get in...now the door is locked from the other side, and i cannot pick it from inside the house......the door is shut and will not open, and when i click "pick lock" it says there's nothing to pick...all my saves are from inside this house, now im screwed...please fix this.

-I was torn between sad and funny until I read this. Now I'm pretty certain its funny.

I just got my backer keys for Steam!

I'm installing Steam for the very first time for this momentous occasion.
