That feeling when you keep the old save and played old version so now you are not fucked. :dealwithit:
You guys gotta play smart against Thals, before we saps go extinct too.

Best monster I've encountered thus far:

The only thing better than a gelatinous cube is an owlbear.

Time to roll the metalsmith again. More hitpoints are needed!

It's going to be very difficult getting much hp on a metalsmith because of how many points are needed to even select the thing from the start. Either keep it in the back or wait until later to switch classes.

Game seems to be broken for everyone now. Giving up trying to suggest using the beta branch first for testing updates, that's not how the Lascaux caves were done anyway.

German let's play:

The first thing the guy says: "This is version 1.2.07, there was a savegame issue with 1.2.05, let's hope the developer stays true to his word that this will not happen again".
The guy just stumbled over the game on on steam, but really loves it (has played all the old blobbers).

Jesus Christ, Cleve stop. Slow down and only focus on the most critical issues (which would be giving keys out to people who have paid for them, and fixing only the most critical gamestopping bugs). Everything else can wait.

dont break the new saves please rather abandon the old ones

First 72 hour savers versus last 48 hour savers, which one does the train roll over? My regards to those rare 120 hour players whose saves weren't broken by the last patch but will in this one, unless they managed to keep some of their old pre-1.2.07 saves.

From our very own Felipepepe:

Cleve moved the location of save, library and config files to "C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\GRIMOIRE" , but apparently didn't set the game to create that folder.

Go into the path above, create a "Grimoire" folder and copy the above files into it. It will run just fine.

I'm hoping the next update will come in paper magazine format with the code printed across 54 pages so you can type it in yourself, only to get RUN error at the end. Proper oldschool.

Kind of feel lucky I just had the .1 version... jesus I think it sounds like either play all the way with this build or keep my saves knowing I can get screwed and have to start all over again

I'm thinking he lost the list of backers somehow and is hoping the issue will go away. :M

I didn't feel bad slipping the guy $18 (Steam has a lower price if you bill from another country) after railing on him for so many years. But if I were a backer, I'd be really quite angry that everyone is getting to play the game before me.

He's honestly doing them a favor. Everything going pear-shaped patch-wise since Sunday is proof that patience is a virtue.

On the other hand I imagine quite a few True BeClevers would be more than happy to be beta branch volunteers, but for some reason that option is off the table. Apparently only one guy needs to beta test new patches before they're sent out to all 3000+ owners.
