I remember there were giant worms that could destroy party's gear, so summonong bats was a good way to prevent it, because mobs always attacked those bats. So the risk of loosing gear remained only in first round. I don't know how you played without summoning. Were you able to kill all worms in first round, or you carried spare weapons/armor with you?

On subject, I kind of like the idea that casting take more time than swinging weapon, it has logic. But unfortunately it doesn't work well as game mechanic

I'm in the same boat. Those worms that destroy armor and weapons...+ just so many attacks per round for each mob...that area just became not so much fun sadly

I trust Golden Era Games will notice that the second response is from a user called "Noob". There's nothing wrong with the Ore Worm's item destroying ability, and when encountered later in the game, these monsters are hardly a threat at all. Why castrate them for a less experienced party? Besides, a group of three nets about 1,000 xp. There should be some risk attached to fighting them.

The way experience requirements spike, past the first third or so of the game you'll only experience a level up maybe once or twice. Perhaps you don't need to multiclass to succeed, but you do need it to keep having fun from getting moar and better levels.

So basically like Wiz 7. Thx.

Nope. In Wiz7 it sorta flats out @ about 400k/level past level 10 or so, so you level up often enough by the endgame when the enemies are all worth a lot of xp. In Grimoire, going from level 10 to 11 costs as much xp as the entire game could possibly provide, and 11 to 12 would require a dozen of Grimoires to complete.

(YMMV depending on difficulty level and random encounter frequency, ofc)

Lawnmowing Crowl right now, gaem is addictive as hell, but some of the functionalities are seriously obscure/ass-backwards - had to google how to drop items :neveraskedforthis:

fortunately those are things that are annoying only until you figure them out

Might have something to do with the fact that I eat 3 raw eggs as part of my morning routine; and I eat them while they're still inside the chicken. This way, all the sodium fluoride that the gubmint injects into the breakfast eggs of underdeveloped weaklings like you can't steal all my muscle mass, nor can it shrink my brain to the size of a lizard's as is the case with all other Australians past the age of 30.

I've been only consuming two raw eggs every morning and I get mine from the grocery store. I feel like such a fool now.
Consuming raw eggs is retarded. You only get half the protein from them when you do that. You get the full amount only when you cook them.
Just drink twice as many eggs. They're practically free in the US.

You may believe that a single roleplaying game could not fulfill all your deepest desires and wildest dreams. That's because you have not played V2 of Grimoire.

In Grimoire V2 these are just a few of the things you will be able to experience:

  • Travel to the ends of time and back (or beyond)
  • Hunt down exotic insects for the Rhattu Mafia
  • Reach your personal potential at the world renowned Mass Gainers Spa
  • Bust up an evil cult of Wyrm worshippers at midnight
  • Enjoy a glamorous lifestyle as a high roller at the casino tables
  • Have psychedelic visions of other worlds
  • Explore the realm of the Titans and an abandoned village
  • Actually cast purify air spell and have it purify the air

The manual is only a couple of hours away from being completed!

YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT COULD HAPPEN THIS WEEK!

at this point I'm inclined to say just release V2 you fucking fuck

who is even waiting for the manual anymore, you're going to change around what the stats do ten times between now and 2020.

how long is it going to take you to fix muh balinse with all the shit you've crammed in there?

This is probably a self portrait of Cleve

I just found a reference to Cleve in Kingmaker, a certain wizard named Blakemoor. I talked him into finishing his grimoire. :P

Don't forget that he gets attacked by someone named "Siroket" which is probably a reference to Sir-tech

Steam:
Will you change in V2 that spell-casting depends on Speed and not automatically go to last action? I.e. now if you cast a spell in combat you automatically go after everyone that is not casting a spell.

Yes, it's on my list of changes and I already made combat orders sort on both action and speed of player, with a fast wizard capable of casting faster than a slow berserker.

What I don't get is he says he already made it and also that it's on his list of changes, so which one is it? :deathclaw:

I do this as well with my to-do lists. It's because it is done, but not to the degree that he is satisfied with it yet. So yes, it is "done", but it needs to be properly finished.

Drugs is everybody elses thing. Drugs for sleep, drugs for waking, drugs for depression, drugs for euphoria, drugs drugs drugs drug.

I've never touched drugs and don't think much of people who have. It's just another way to fake your way through the world without anybody finding out how full of crap you are.

As Lee Haney said "Everybody wants to be a bodybuilder and wake up strong one morning. But nobody wants to train hard and lift heavy♥♥♥♥♥weights. That's why I succeed, because I can take pain and most people can't. I grow because I ain't faking it and my body knows it."

goy from shoutbox checked his game for me and said his ranger has archery

turns out he was playan version 1.2.0.70, while mine is .80

so i guess cleve must have broken something in the process

well maybe i'll check this game in five years :neveraskedforthis:
I wouldn't recommend jumping back in before V2 is out.
