Cleveland Mark Blakemore,

Can you work the Steam API? Any idea when you can the Steam overlay working? It would help with uploading the screenshots and checking out Steam guides/forums while in-game.

So what's everyone reaction to the actual gameplay? I am holding off for a minute, I want to see what these new features are, and I'm willing to wait until the sizeable bugs are crushed. I am still finishing Wizardry 8, after all. Let the incline begin.

Edit: Are we also going to see any future DLC? Such as new classes? Areas?

I know about set encounters, but even when set to "Never", I get combat by doing the following things in the latest patch:

- Loading a save immediately triggers a combat
- Resting for about 1 second
- Turning left or right

Hey Cleve,

Just installed the latest patch and I'm not sure if the encounter settings work anymore (Never/Rare/Onslaught, etc.). To test it, I set it to Never but now I get a battle every 2 steps. It also might just be the area that I'm in (Hobknob's area).
Still works for me

Hello Mondblut,

I asked Smithers about his father but it didn't have anything to do with "Seal" or "Crest", but I think I can proceed regardless just from exploring the Catacombs.

Well, it gives all relevant keys, i.e. Loogmar, Ukluk mining company, letter of marque. Oh, you can also pick up Loogmar's seal from inventory and click on him with it.

I do have a question about Crowl concerning
Clara. Do you know the next step after finding the door in the Baths that someone has been dragged through? I can't seem to find a way to interact with the door, and no NPCs seem to respond to any relevant queries such as "Clara", "Sister", and "Broach".

Do not worry about the Baths, you'll discover its secrets from the other side.

I wasn't even remotely thinking I would. But I bought it.
White power organizations world-wide thank you for your support. And don't even try to pretend that you don't know about narcissistic Cleve's endlessly shouted racist and homophobic beliefs--you've been involved with gaming far too long. Anyone as informed as you who buys Cleve's game is deliberately sending money to a virulent race war advocate.

GOG release when?
Seriously these people have something really, really wrong with them.

I read part of the thread posted earlier and they were just virtue signalling while attacking a guy for merely buying grimoire because he liked the genre.

I'm pretty far right (if you couldnt guess) but I still enjoy media and content created by people who are diametrically opposed to my politics such as Stephen King - Its really frightening to me that people will form lynch mobs and witch hunts and try to hurt someones business over their opinions that have nothing to do with the product theyre selling.

Whats funny is that Walt Disney was an Anti-Semite and Henry Ford even published the Protocols of the elders of Zion in his newspaper, the Dearborn Independent and yet they gave us culture changing inventions and ideals that are carried on today, shaped our society and did us good as a Nation and World IMHO- Should we say "Fuck the assembly line" or Boycott Disneyworld?

It really does bother me because I dont understand it and all this does is further separate and divide us.

Its off topic as hell but it bothers me- I remember when lefties were actually fairly sane and I used to be left leaning myself but this new left- This totalitarian , homogenized and anti-diversity of opinion left are scary as fuck- Its a witchhunt for them because someone has an opinion they dislike. The groupthink and browbeating over "buying a fucking game" is sickening.

I really, really am scared for where things are heading- because its not pretty and the further they push and push the further we move towards a place I dont even want to think about.

Sorry for the off topic.

Thanks Mondblut.

Now I just need to figure out why my combat encounter settings don't work anymore and get out of Pit of Hobknob.

Mondblut- One thing I'm still confused about is this- Do you know if DEV is the determining factor for MP gain even with an Arcane caster- I only gave extra DEV to my divine casters (like cleric) and I'm thinking about a restart but would really like to know this so I can better make my party.

I don't have a faintest idea tbh. Reloading until you get a good roll seems to be more important for MP gain either way ;) I just invest stat increases for potential multiclassing.

My opinion is that this game is amazing- Only about 18 hours in right now and barely scratched the surface and plan a restart anyhow.

Theres some bugs and I'm sure there will be more as we progress but damn...Game is fantastic.

Yeah I updated my game too and now there seems to be monster near every 1-3 steps.

Changing the frequency has no effect that I can tell anymore, the base is just Onslaught-seeming Lufia 1 levels of encounter rates.

Cleve, have you thought of doing what AoD (and other games) did and using the test branch to put out a new version for people battling with specific bugs? Once a number of people have verified that that fixed their issues without apparently breaking something else you can then roll it out for everybody.

Got a question. I just found out that wall banging (my standard mode in these kinda games) may not apply here, since Detect Secret just alerted me to a switch which opens a wall in the Shrine of the Raptor. So, my question is, is there any point in wall banging? Put another way, are there any 'fake' walls, as opposed to walls that disappear by activating a hidden switch? I guess only CMB can answer this one, so I will continue banging for now. :)

There are "fake/illusionary" walls that you simply walk through. Detect Secret will alert you to their presence. I spent a while looking around for a button to open the first one I encountered before accidentally walking right through it while futiley clicking around the wall for a button.

Cleve was probably worried the game would be too easy. Power bards. Key selling Multimillionaires.

New patch, never was fixed, it is now onslaught. The levels above that are onslaught+1 and so on.

There is even one in the shrine of the raptor. In the room with sarcophagi there is an illusory wall that you have to walk through.

But, during one fight, my mages, when Thrusting, actually got a little popup and could choose between the two hummingbirds. Never happened again.

I think I saw that one in porn. More importantly, did their Thrusts Penetrate?

Anyway, your mages were choosing between rows of enemies, which you can always do (unless using short weapon or an "attack everything" kind of spell). Within a row, you can never choose individual enemy.

Good timing, I just found that exact spot. I guess this means wall banging is still good, because it is easy enough to miss the flashing thing that alerts you to the secret wall. I wall banged into this before I saw the flash. This leads on to another question, which is kind of related. I found the map of the shrine, which surprise surprise, reveals the map! :P But does it reveal 100% of the map always, in other words, does the '<insert area name here> map' sort of obviate the need to test for secret walls because the map is revealed in total?

BTW Cleve, I love the thought behind the different colours in the automap to indicate whether you have been on each tile or not. Magic!

For clarification on the row targeting, you can always click on the "1" next to your character portrait to see your current row targeting options (and it will change to the number of the row you're currently targeting).

THe Incline iZ Coming. Check this one out. The devs intelligently solved the "Bugged Turning" problem here, (how I suggested should be in G.). Lots of exciting features even if you skip through the video. Multiple party members! Visible wandering monsters and Eye of the Beholder features.

Looks great, but that mouse clicking. Use numeric keypad, or even wasd+qezc. But not the mouse.

Could someone screenshot the F1 page that shows the hotkeys and post it here? I want to see if there are enough hotkeys to make a Steam Controller template.
