Thanks!
One more minor bug:
When I go to rescue Heime and cast Dart at the guard without him noticing me first, he calls the guards and I end up in the cage. And if I cast dart at the stone then, he engages me in combat - with me still in the cage. And I can hit him with the staff (but not with spells) too!
Though I must say I'm mightily and pleasantly surprised at how polished the game is. I've rarely seen a commercial release that issue-free.

Also: ROFLed at the "meta"-jokes in the elven city. Great job!

A possible bug (I'm not sure):
I refused to return the chest to Fafnir, so he turned to dragon and attacked me. I fled the battle, cast Shadow and let him be on his way - is it supposed to be possible or did I break something? I have a strong suspicion that this should have been one of those battles you can't escape...

cosmetic bug, when you die from exhaustion from snowballrock throwing, the 'lie down dead' animation plays, then the animation glitches to the throwing the snowball one, then you die for real.

Thanks SCO, I've passed along your notes.

V_K, that's not a bug.

One more, maybe cosmetic, maybe not:
At some point a shining gemstone appears in Sigrun's shop. After I exit the shop and enter again, the hotspot for it becomes inactive - i.e. the sprite is still there, but clicking on it yields the same results as just clicking on the background.

I have a long and rich history of sucking at adventure games and it's clearly not going to change anytime soon : my first attempt just ended, three minutes after it started, with my being frozen to death while I was searching the woods for a boar to kill and eat (I did meet and kill two bandits, but the game wouldn't allow me to resort to cannibalism).

Erebus - there is a difficulty slider where the easiest setting removes the possibility of dying from the cold. You can still die from other things (eg, running too much), but it is otherwise much like a god-mode with respect to rpg elements.

This is probably very hard to solve, but the animations involving people going places, or the hero going forward to another place would look much better if they used pathfinding that is not of the 'go to center of the screen, then do what you were going to do'.
SCI had some tricky pathfinding code, it's in reimplemented in scummvm now.

Also, generally, not having hotspots of every object on the screen is annoying beyond just the obvious, because if you click on those objects with the hand, you often 'click through' to the ground, picking up snowballs by accident. It's like the objects are 'not really there'.

Entered a building on the next village over at night that looks suspiciously like a entrance to the thieves guild... it appears to have a combination lock with letters. Trouble is i can't find any good word to spell. I'm a thief. Clue?

By the way i cheated char gen and gave my thief points into all optional skills. Yes, i'm shameless. Currently planning to grind sleeping thrivaldi for stealth.

How's the place you're trying to enter called?

Never mind, i found the sixth sense spell :) good old qfg, good for incompetents.
Anyway, i was prodded to it when i was stolen from at night.

Crash report: if you have a thief with magic skill, and use the spell that creates a aura of fire when the dude is trying to throw the rope, you end up with a scriptcrash. On wine at least, which might not be the cause on windows.
edit: this is not always-repeatable, might require some timing to cause.

Won!
Fizzii, since I probably won't be giving it a second playthrough in near future, would you mind giving me some spoilers as to two things I failed to achieve:
1. Where do you get the lightning spell?
2. What NPCs apart from wizard and stoned elf are involved in the puzzle game?

Also, a bug:
I restored Alviss during the day and he quickly turned back to stone. But the elves were behaving asif I actually brought him back.

Gandvik's lake reflects the cursor icons, which although a interesting effect, was probably not meant?

Well done V_K!

1. Someone would have given you a 'quest' which you probably would have picked up early on in the game, but not finished.
2. I'm not sure what you're referring to (riddles?). There are various NPCs who you can talk to about it.

Regarding your bug report, that's not actually a bug. They were just happy to hear about him.

SCO - thanks, we've got that crash on our list. Cursor reflections are intentional.

Skrymir explicitly says: "Good, his return to our village".

Is it someone in the human cities, or finding him/her takes some searching?

Yes, riddles.
I've got riddles from the wizard and Alviss, I can talk about them with Liff and Hervor, but none of them knows neither answer. I haven't found any other NPC I can ask about it. Had a suspicion that Taliesin can know something, but I can't talkt to him properly

Ah, I thought you were referring to Eitri. Thanks for that, I've reported it to the programmer.

The very same quest I'm referring to is indeed the riddles quest. You're missing two NPCs. Taliesin is an easter egg, he doesn't count.

You're missing two NPCs.
But where are they? Volund, Heime, Lithrasir, Jarl, Snorri, Librarian, Regin, Sigurd, Sigurn, Kraka, Skrymir and Angrimm don't have the option. Brynhild, bridge troll, Andvari and Eitri have the option, but refuse to play. I can't check Fafnir, Rinda and Ratatosk since I don't have a savegame old enough for them to be around, but I don't remember them having the option too. So who's left? Sigurn's dead husband? And the other one?

also, a possible bug:
Where does Angrimm go after you heal him? I can't find him in Forsingtuna, and the tower is empty either. Also, he's missing from the celebration scene, which is also kinda weird.

and a question:
Is it possible to win Forsingtuna's trust without uniting the lovers? You can't heal Angrimm without doing it first (or can you?), which leaves only Snorri, Jarl, Volund and the wizard - can you get the wizard vouch for you himself?

I'm halfway through chapter 3. Very nice game so far.

A minor question : I'm playing as a fighter (I'll save the subtler classes for future tries) and, when I tried to enter the Thieves' Guild a second time, I got a Game Over accusing me of cheating. I didn't get the reason why.

Hmm, looks like Angrimm's absence yesterday was a random glitch. Today I found him successfully and that solved half of my other problem (guess I was wrong about him, sorry).

Can you tell me then
how am I supposed to get the frigging amethyst? I think I've tried every logical approach and a few nonsensical ones - all with the same result

So, does Flame Aura have any purpose on combat other than burning my mana?

I'm guessing maybe the frost giants can freeze you and you can use that to defreeze yourself? Don't know for sure since I tend to run away from them
