I'd like to note that this was in Hitman Blood Money too. It's not that new but it's a welcome change, I think Hitman 2 has the potential to be the best one yet.https://www.pcgamesn.com/hitman-2/ai-detect-mirrors
Hitman 2's AI can spot your reflection in mirrors
As long as Hitman games follow BM's recipe and not absolution's, they will always be good.I'd like to note that this was in Hitman Blood Money too. you sure? they don't detect if you turn off lights but detect blood? I don't remember thatThis was a feature of the AI in Thief The Dark Project ffs
ratchet & clank is gudnow besides Bloodporn there really isn't any reason to buy a PS4
They were detecting lights and open doors in the Metal Age, and in The Dark Project they were detecting blood pools.you sure? they don't detect if you turn off lights but detect blood? I don't remember thatThis was a feature of the AI in Thief The Dark Project ffs

they detected doors opening but they didn't detect if you turned off any of the lights that were on with a water arrow. If a guard came to an area and you left a door open, they also wouldn't suspect if you left a door open and start checking the surrounding area. They were detecting lights and open doors in the Metal Age
I'm quite sure that they did, at least in Casing the Joint / Masks missions. It may have been scripted just for them though.they detected doors opening but they didn't detect if you turned off any of the lights that were on with a water arrow. Crowd mechanics and hiding in crowds is nothing new either, in fact it's as old as the 4th game (whatever it was called, I believe it was Blood money?), it's pretty sad watching everyone pretend and call it "new addition".I'd like to note that this was in Hitman Blood Money too. Absolution had some segments with crowd mechanics. Crowds in BM could not be used to hide, and if you could and I never noticed in my >60h of playing the level design did not allow for that or make it a viable option.Crowd mechanics and hiding in crowds is nothing new either, in fact it's as old as the 4th game (whatever it was called, I believe it was Blood money?), it's pretty sad watching everyone pretend and call it "new addition".
For starters metal detectors aren't common in 2016 and they allow you to carry more stuff than just the sniper now, probably more guns than just the WA2000 and other items you can't carry in public going by what they said in a interview. I think (not certain) that carrying weapons that are nonstandard on guards will also raise suspicion to others now as they did in Silent Assassin and in 2016's Professional mode, meaning it also adds a extra layer of utility for the suitcase. The suitcase is just a cosmetic thing. You can carry your rifle in a suitcase, big fucking deal. This will get detected at the first x-ray detector you have to pass through.
Crowds in BM could not be used to hide
In the Murder of Crows level, you could carry a gun in the crowd. There were also those "wine" tourists in the Chile level but I'm not sure whether you could smuggle yourself with them or you needed a "tourist" clothing.
It's besides the point anyway because this never before seen innovation was first used 10 years ago in Assassins Creed 1.
Right, those slaughter club dancers.Turns out the first game with "crowds" was actually Contracts
Rarely do I like using 'but it's a beta' as a excuse, but in this case, it really is a beta and this can be fixed in a week of animator work. I'd only give them shit if this remained in the launch.
They couldn't even bother to animate it properly.
But those 'crowds' did not do anything. They were simply AI that could not pick up weapons, alert guards or do much of anything like normal NPC AI could. They sprinkled in some normal NPCs into crowds so that they could alert guards if you pulled out a gun in Blood Money. My point was that you couldn't use those crowds for ANYTHING and your statement about hiding in them or even calling it a 'mechanic' is total bullshit. The only Hitman game that you could hide inside crowds in was Absolution.Turns out the first game with "crowds" was actually Contracts. Also, how could I forget, even Hitman 2016 features crowds in Marrakesh: http://hitman.wikia.com/wiki/Crowds
Nope. The NPCs just didn't have the ability to alert anyone. If you passed a normal NPC AI in that crowd, you would be alerted. You could take a tour of the wine cellar with the tourists if in your normal suit, but it wasn't a legitimate feature, just a one off level design decision. In the Murder of Crows level, you could carry a gun in the crowd. There were also those "wine" tourists in the Chile level but I'm not sure whether you could smuggle yourself with them or you needed a "tourist" clothing.
