IGN's top 100 rpgs OF ALL TIME

Actually DX being at 25 is overrating it. Sure it's a great fucking game, but honestly having just replayed it, it offers little challenge and is quite schematic in that there's always a way through for any build so there's no great decisions needed, no real sense of progression except to open up a few secret areas here and there. As an RPG on an all time RPG list it should be ranked much lower.

Why the rage? It's obvious they put their list into a randomizer, and then nitpicked a few favourites so that skyrim doesn't get placed too low.

Arcanum (I fucking hope)

There's no way it's going to be on the list since games like FO, FO2 and Baldur's Gate were already mentioned, and I'd imagine any of those would rank above Arcanum on a list like this, not to mention fucking Oblivion. I'd expect to see Torment in the top 20, though.

ME2 was better than the predecessor in almost every way possible...and thanks to its interrupt system and cleaner skill training elements, it was also a superior RPG...but in the "traditional" sense of an RPG (aka skill points and loot and such), ME1 deserves a higher spot on this list. besides, it DID start it all, didn't it? hoorah for BioWare's golden days!

So, System Shock now is RPG. On the other hand, I prefer System Shock to the japanese crap in this list.

So, crpg top10 of all time contains 1 game I find good but nothing special, 1 game I find OK and 8 games I deem shitty and/or not worth caring about. I always knew I don't really like this genre.

Also, absolutely best thing about this list is the fact that they basically filled it with tons of Japanese shovelware but failed to name any of titles like Dark Spire, Etrian Odyssey or Strange Journey, which are actually quite good.
