First thing, it is hard. You can go in with a lvl 50 character and a solid collection of firepower, and still have a hard time beating some of the enemies they introduced. I was relieved to note that once you start gaining some levels and get to use the lvl 50+ guns you can find, enemies do become more manageable. The challenge, however remains.

Three new vehicles get introduced with the DLC, the Monster, the Racer, and the Lancer APC. The first two get introduced as you progress in the story, the Lancer is received as a sidequest. Using the standard runner from the main game..

The monster is slower, but more durable. One thing with all the new vehicles you can't choose between weapons, they all come with built in guns. The Monster and Racer have missle launchers. they are homing missles though.

The Racer is much faster than the runner, although it cannot take a lot of punishment. My advice is avoid fighting in it if at all possible. With it's speed it's easy to escape whatevers attacking you. It's boost is more powerful, but ends quickly.

The Lancer APC is a very powerful vehicle, and a welcome addition to the game. It seats 4, and every seat has a function. The driver controls a machinegun turret. The gunner fires a powerful energy weapon. another seat controls a minelayer, and finally theres a concussion weapon that knocks away any enemy vehicles that get too close. Its slow, but very sturdy, with a decent boost.

If i have to complain about something, I wish there was a fast travel system in the dlc. If you quit the game and come back, you start out in t-bone junction, the starting city and have to make your way back to where you left off. This can involve a lot of enemy encounters it'd be great to skip. then again, you realy need the xp.

why not include the name of the game you're talking about ?

would make it easier to ignore a topic about "borderlands"

What's so bad about Borderlands everyone's having a fit over it?
The game seems so... bland and seems to lack incentive to play. Haven't played it though but that's my impression.

Well, i kind of thought it was a pretty fun game to jump in a slow evening or when bored in MSN to either kill some time solo or go get some crazy fun with friends and then then you go back do seriouze thingies and forget all about the game until the next time you guys and gals and trannies are totally bored, without any guilt or fear you will have forgotten the plot or the hints or stuffies, kind of like Diablo II but a lot funnier since the world is amazing in a wacky, totally out there cheap western way i kind of found pretty cool. It's all quite fun without long term comitment or investment, i like it.

And Elemental Revolvers plus Siren equals lots and lots of evilish Tee Hee Hees that make my dad think now i really lost it or something. And the small robot thingies are, like, totally kawaii.

The main problem with Borderlands is that while it is better with friends the co-op game play is poorly implemented and the game world is pretty stagnant and boring albeit visually interesting in terms of art direction.

The previous DLC were fairly blatant money grabs but the newest seems decent enough -- I still won't pay $10 for it as I haven't even finished the original game. It's an okay FPS/psuedo RPG but the RPG elements are extremely light as the various specializations aren't very significant or noticeable during game play.

Also, once you finish there really isn't much point to replaying/farming for weapons because they have no use.

Borderlands is the definition of level grind. No matter how good your build, how good your aim, how smart you play, you will never be able to fight enemies more then 3-5 levels above yourself. No matter how bad you are, you will never die to enemies below your level. So instead of encouraging good builds or good play, all the game encourages is level grinding. Find a new area, level grind 2-3 levels so that you can actually hurt things, move on to next area and repeat.
