That used to be funny but a few days ago I went to add a new video card to my 16 year old cousin who I helped build and set up for her to play Skyrim with mods. I helped her get started with the unofficial patches, UNP and ENB fix...but guess she took it from there with all sorts of TERA armors, the prostitution mod, schlongs and whatsnot.
Her main char was a big as nord with the purple dildo from saints row and some heavy ass S&M shit (including a spiked schlong) and he was in some sort of harem (the lair of hydra it was called) with all sorts of perversions which would make the bioware guys proud and Kronar beg for honor
Such a weird shit, she is a pretty cute kid but how would have know...it is miles away from when I used to read her Green Eggs and Ham

OOH LL sex mod looks TEMPMTING.

Anyway, new gfxcard so I decided to reinstall Skyrim a few days ago and tried some new mods. ENB's mostly. And I'm sorry fanbois, but ENB's don't impress me. Even after disabling DoF, it's just... Wow, more vibrant colors. Hoo boy. Also CTD's (not that many actually but enough to annoy), even after ini edits that consequently made my card sound like it was having a stroke. If you want my rec though, I quite liked Unbleak. ENB's did inspire me to seek out lighting mods, and after some testing I'm leaning towards these:

I was leaning towards this or RLO, and after some video research, went with this. Played with it for about half a day. And wow. You will never go back to vanilla dungeons/interiors again. I dunno about performance hit, can't detect any, but should be pretty light if any.

Realistic Nights. I tried RCRN on a rec from the author of ELFX, but it's not doing it for me. This thing though. PITCH. FUCKING. DARK. Some issues mentioned - my blood splatter mod looks even more neon bright than before. But hay. Also author mentions some issues with some meshes, but haven't seen any probs yet.

Skyrim HD 2k textures. I went with LITE which is much smaller. Looks the same as higher res at 1080p from a video I looked at. Pretty much. Massive difference in everything graphically, even improved stuff like fog and other fx. Niice.

[FAILURE]Actually if you look at the right hand, you can see bindings. Her hands are not actually died to the iron bits, but her wrists are, this means she's able to use her hands for other things.

Roll perception again to determine what those other things could be.

Was also going to try K and The Wilds but the authors had a hissyfit and quit Nexus and deleted their content and I didn't feel like googling for other sources. Also was going to give uuh RealVision or something and Sharpshooters a try, but as I recall those had pretty involved install processes and I didn't feel like it.

Yeah I like RealVision myself, works well with ELFX. There's loads of ENB settings out there so everyone's bound to find some they like.

Basically, Skyrim was assigning its required memory in 256 MB blocks, which was the root cause for loads of issues. Just by upping it to 512 MB (and there's nothing stopping you from increasing it further, they're still testing it) people have been playing saves that were previously CTD'ing all the time, increased ugrids etc. and still have a completely stable game. It could end up being a real game changer for Skyrim modding (and hopefully other Lolbryo games too). You could have all those 4K texture mods, Open Cities and NPC-adding mods all working together without Skyrim crapping itself.

It would require an update to FOSE (or compiling it yourself with the changes), but I don't see any reason why not.
