Infinitrons abuse of mod powers is extremely annoying and needs to stop

For all the flak I give Owlcat, I will at least respect them for sending an official emissary. Nobody at their weight class or above does.

Now that you mention it, it's indeed remarkable. Perhaps Owlcat thinks of RPG Codex as their weird uncle, he's going to say inappropriate things at the table that make everyone else uncomfortable but he's still family so it's not like he's not going to be invited for Christmas dinner.

Was the Codex so different years ago? After all, Chris Avellone and Josh Sawyer posted here in the past, did they not?

Seems like the thread was moved to Gaming Drama again.

Does Infinitron have a split personality and constantly alters his decisions or was there a coup against him and someone else moved the thread?

The internet was wilder and more free back then. So were games.

But as usual, codex has its own lore and I lost track of who among the big names were bullied off and who left because they no longer wanted to be in a cesspool.

RPGHQ forum is already the number one antiwoke force in the RPG world, solely because they act instead of sitting on their asses like we do, rusty users do antiwoke mods cutting some of the woke crap from biggest offenders and he host these mods. Of course its often futile endeavour polishing the turd, but it's at least something. So codex is already more moderate solely by this reasoning.
I am strongly in favor of anti-woke mods. Not so much because I agree that games need to be sanitized like that, but because at least people are doing something instead of just whining about it.

This is a site for discussing gnomes, and people are well within their rights to "whine" abutt the content, rather than rewarding devs by putting dozens to hundreds of hours of their time into creating mods to "fix" them, like people making "de-woking" mods for games that were explicitly designed and written to be woke.

I wonder if there's a Xenforo addon that could display a forum's top N threads in the main index, instead of just the most recently active thread. But only for that forum, not all of them.

But...
Are Niggers not a part of our games?
Hence they rightfully belong in General Gaming and Rpg discussion!

We have this discussion every few years with the current batch of Joined: Last Year super important posters trying to dictate what the rules really mean. Then there's a sperg out and a trip to the retard corner and we have a little exodus to the current "more based than the codex" site.
Codexian saṃsāra, as it ever was. Have to prune the briars back every so often or they'll choke out the whole hedge.

henry being a faggot is an actual quest in KCD 2.

all discussion of KCD 2 faggotry is inextricably tied to gameplay. Making a thread about how characters are surprise-homos in an rpg is not "drama", it's literally discussing the gameplay elements.

There was a time when RPGD was RPG Discussion and political discussion was in General Discussion but then there was a cultural revolution and games got louder about their politics.

In the 00s, devs didn't like the forum because we were too mean when it came to discussing game mechanics and such.

There's already a natural segregation on Codex. There are posters who only discuss politics, posters who only talk shit about mainstream releases, posters who only discuss games, and so on. There doesn't need to be an artificial filter. The flame of drama is temporary. People whose sole interest is spamming about wokeness will leave sooner or later.

I have some niche interests myself. I have never been bothered by trolls in a thread about interactive fiction novels. If you are bothered by flame wars it might as well speak of your questionable taste in games. Codex earned the reputation of those who trash talk anything mainstream and rightfully so. I have no interest in playing corporate slops, is it really so terrible for me to post a few diatribes against them? The alternative is to not discuss them at all. What would we discuss in the Veilguard thread, if not the terrible modern agenda in it? If KCD 2 turns out to be a good game, the discussion about the actual gameplay will eventually overtake the drama talk.

Let all people see the KCD thread. So what if 4chan shitposters join? We can separate the wheat from the chaff later. Shitposter tag and bullying goes a long way to make retards behave here. Overly edgy posters usually back down after a while or outright leave. The alternative is to miss out on potentially good posters, even if the ratio is 1:20.

Codex has crossed the Rubicon many years ago. The fact that a large part of the user base is fascist - to use the most general term - will not change. People who aren't at least somewhat indifferent to racism will not join regardless.

I personally appreciate the attitude regarding this but unfortunately I think you're wrong. While Codex has always had a select few individuals who seemed to thrive on nothing but posting edgy content, most of the times it was contained to GD or they generally flamed out before long.

Now we've got an entirely new class of poster here who came here for one reason, who refuse to leave, and who are sort of... I guess... trying to start some sort of uprising here? Purge the JEWS from Codex? NIGGER is my right to say in any thread I want?

So yeah...
