Chuck has won his challenge and got funded, The Dead were already lingering for sometime and we salute our friend Zoldan.

Now some other project:
An horror comic:
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/373354698/51-serif-st-a-horror-comic/?ref=kicktraq

And a Sci-Fi PnP RPG:
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/jamiechambers/metamorphosis-alpha-roleplaying-game/?ref=kicktraq

Edit:
Good Grief, I gave a look at Indiegogo and many of the new projects are flexible, meaning that they bag all the money even if their goal is not met, well here some of the projects I found:
Sharks with Lasers Spy Board Game.
Vida H'nS' mature game, the guy wants the money for the engine license.
The Monolith from beyond Space and Time plus The God that Crawls An already funded module for the WEIRD PnP system.
Chronicles of Skin is a game of scribbling and storytelling.
Using cards and a pencil, you and your friends will tell a story, recording it on paper with doodles and glyphs. You will interpret symbols, invent cultures and collaboratively explore the decimation of an ancient people. It's for 3-5 players, takes 3 hours to play and fits in your pocket.

Chronicles of Skin has been developed with a great team, including Andrew Kenrick (White Dwarf, Dead of Night) and Jason Hickey (Outsider, Hell for Leather), plus a heap of dedicated patrons around the globe.

Here an oddity:
I need money for chess lessons, tournament entry fees (although some tournaments have free entry for International Masters), and travel (flights, meals, hotels). Im looking to raise a minimum of $5,000 to a maximum of $30,000, and would greatly appreciate your support. In return, I will create a blog, and regail you with my chess exploits, and upload pictures, so that you can follow my tournament success. In addition, for every $50 you contribute, I will give you or a loved one online (or $75, in person, if you're local to NYC) chess lessons.

People will have the satisfaction of 1) supporting a kid's specific goal, 2) improving the image of chess in the US and worldwide, and 3) having procured inexpensive lessons from a nice, friendly and committed international master (I usually charge $100/hour). I already have an $1800 contribution from my former high school and have given in-person lessons to a hedge fund investor

Yep, this kid used crowdfunding as a way to sponsor his career as an International Chess Grand Master, failed.

My American Game throws an hissy fit:
The lack of communication and support from Kickstarter...the company, was a big factor in our decision NOT to complete the campaign for funding on their platform.
In before Indiegogo flexible campaign.

What the hell did he mean with that? Got to 28,000$ and then suddenly ragequit, what's the point?

How many days funding were remaining when he quit?

Sorry I don't see the remaining days from the link you provide.

What I see is that they had like negative pledges at the end.

This could be interesting because it's appears that they wanted kickstarter to transfer the money even when it was clear that their project would not be funded.
They probably approached kickstarter about it, got the inevitable refusal, ragequit about their " lack of communication and support", and will now go on all their life about how kickstarter "stole" their money.

I also think he may have cancelled the game because of the 10,000$ that he had pledged himself.

The game had only like 83 backers and more than half the money comes from the high donors .. fishy.

Project: Eternity
Not gaming related, but funny.

In Search of a King

After three generations of research pouring over more than 200 years of family documents I have finally found the the truth behind the Knight's Templar treasure and a link from it to Abraham Lincoln's assassination.

Goal: 44k.

For the ONE highest contributor to donate over $5,000 towards this project, you will receive one of the limited author's editions from the first printing of this book autographed by the authors. ADDITIONALLY, you will receive the original hand-written letter of recommendation submitted to The Church of Ireland signed twice from George Hall to Steuart King written November 29, 1792. This letter has been passed down from generation to generation in my family for over 200 years! THAT'S NOT ALL, should the movie rights of this story ever be sold, you will be invited to the VIP screening and be seated with the authors at the venue of the winner's choosing. (The winner's travel and expenses are their own responsibility.)

Missed that, straight into the brown.
About the days, I thought that Kicktraq indicated the start date too, oh well, it's not important.

Edit:
The first pledges are dated March the 29th.

So Amerikwans have to pay $100 for the game. I'd have to pay $210.

Thanks, but no thanks. I have a policy against paying more for shipping than for the product.

Not looking hot for you guys without a sponsor, but I talked among my friends and showed them this(two of whom are artists, one of which is a music composer who's worked with virt and spoken with professional sprite artists, all generally retro RPG lovers) and this is what we agreed on is generally a major kill to any interest in the desire to play a game like this. Please take this as constructive criticism - it's extremely, extremely harsh crit, but it hits upon areas that are literally HUGE issues with what you have.

While your model is fine - "Gamisodes", provided proper content, aren't so bad. However, do you do all of your art in house? All the spritework, actual digital art, between the five of you? Because that's murdering the appearance of the game. You have no actual professional art team or even exceptional talent(please do not attempt to say you do). Your poster image is basically aliased lines with no shading, no sense of professionalism. Chrono Trigger's boxart? High-energy fight, crisp, clean lines and agreeable color. Yours? Flat colors, broken faces, and -aliased- lines.

On top of that, the spritework is nothing, nothing like the games of old. Heck, there's more oomph in the blockmouthed sprites of FF6 casting a spell than the motion of anything shown in your kickstarter pilot and the areas are absolutely HORRID. This is not the kind of thing you show off in a 200k Kickstarter, it's the kind of thing you show off a forum thread about a pre-pre-pre-Alpha. Judging from a picture, all your spritework is also in-house, and it's killing you, badly. I'm not trying to break up your team or 'commercialize' anything, but unless you're -EXTREMELY- talented, you're going to need to requisition some actual talent when making your first foray into indie games, especially with a project of this scope.

I'm not hating on your game. I love RPGs, but you're catering ultra hard to the 'old-school' crowd(and really, time gates, a sagely old man named Gaspar? Most old-school RPG players aren't gonna go OH MAN, LIKE IN CHRONO TRIGGER, we're going to go Really? Why? Can't you come up with your own dynamic?) You don't have to slap a game full of homages and winkwinknudgenudges to old RPGs so blatantly to bring about the good feelings, you have to evoke the retro nostalgia response and make it stand on its own two feet.

I urge you, beg you - don't just cast aside these critiques. Don't just say, "Well, that's your opinion.". If you don't address stuff like this, Tempus Chronicle is just going to be a bad RPG that wants to be more but fell down the stairs into a knifevat of shark acid. Like... look at the RPG system you displayed. LOOK AT IT. Now look a single battle of Lunar 1/2. Of Final Fantasy II. A God-beast battle in Seiken Densetsu III.

If you really love retro, if you really are committed - you'll know exactly where you're going wrong, and you won't take steps that end up insulting the memory of retro games.

I wish you the best.

LOL, another funded RPGMaker game having troubles managing money:
I'm back working to pay off this game again. No, no I haven't spent all the money on booze. It's all there. Though I realize I will need more because someone who volunteered to compose dropped out ... so Jon Babb, the person who did the trailer music and all of what I have now, will finish the OST, but that will require more funds. Sigh, well. Back to saving. Whatever it takes to get this done.
Of relevance:
This project successfully raised its funding goal on March 30.

Wait... o_O

Someone dropped out so he'd need more money 5 days ago. Project was closed with 175% funding 1 month ago. Can't he just use the $2036 he went over his goal to hire someone to write a few banalshitboring animu numbers with squeaky voices?
