Codex 2012 Codex 2013 MCA Serpent in the Staglands Dead State Divinity: Original Sin Project: Eternity Torment: Tides of Numenera Wasteland 2 Divinity: Original Sin 2 My team has the sexiest and deadliest waifus you can recruit.
The projects that will, most likely, fail and that I hate to see failing are part of the new British wave:
Maia (seems to me like it would have great potential) - http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1438429768/maia
Sui Generis (the tech is AWESOME, so I don't give a flying fuck about the project lead being kind of a dick and the setting/story being cliche) - http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1473965863/sui-generis
The Ship: Full Steam Ahead (the original The Ship is really cool and this would have been an improved The Ship with better graphics and a steampunk look. Too bad that the devs made a total hash of the KS campaign. It's one of the worst campaign of any of the projects that I've been following) - http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/709089895/the-ship-full-steam-ahead

The idea that these will fail while Braben will get $2mil for his Elite vaporware is making me :x:rage::flamesaw:

Yeah, I ranted about it a couple of days ago, too. Sucks so much ass, especially Maia and SG. Fuck, the sooner Xenonauts are finished, the better.

I am afraid that the end of Xenonauts development coincides with the heat death of the universe.
If you think that Xenonauts is bad, WTF do you think about AoD? How about Grimoire, which is even worse (in all senses of the word) by entire orders of magnitude? However, unlike these two, Grimoire has no chance of becoming a good game even if, by some miracle, Cleve could get his shit together after a couple of decades or messing around.

Do they actually have a working alien AI now?

Maybe they are getting there. Unlike evdk, who is just an unemployed troglodyte.

Yeah I'm a bit sad that Solenttar is not making it. And they are not asking for much ffs.

After a few days of extensive research and discussions, we have come to the conclusion that it is highly unlikely, statistically, that this project will meet its funding goal. So we have decided to tweak the job scope and funding goal. Kickstarter does not allow this after you launch, which is understandable, so we will be cancelling this project and launching another one once it is approved. The new project will be just the RPG engine and toolset, no Solenttar adventure module. This will cut down on a significant amount of development time. We feel that asking for $500 would be reasonable for this new job scope (a little bit lower than we would like, but hopefully we exceed that amount and can start talking about stretch goals). I hope everyone understands and can support us with this new project. If you have any suggestions or feedback, please leave a comment on the Solenttar Project page. We will leave the page open for a week or so just to make sure everyone is aware of the project change.

The new project will also receive an official name for the RPG engine and toolset (openForgeRPG was just a placeholder/working name). We have decided to go with the IceBlink Engine as the name.

Exodae - http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2023838960/exodae-0 - Super Metroid/Mega-Man style platformer with 4-way co-op support.
Shit. Looks like a bunch of douches that just downloaded a engine, made that 5 sec demo using presets and now want 100k... they are just spoiled brats that want all their development time & license fees paid for without a single bit of effort.
Yeah, the $100,000 is, indeed, ludicrous. But, hey, not everybody has to make it.

The 100k is not as absurd as how entitled they act about it... seriously, how long did they took to put that 5 sec demo together? They don't say anything about how gameplay works, how many levels there are, release date, NOTHING! They just spend the whole video making retarded jokes and asking you to help make "this masterpiece" happen...

Fake Edit: I found it in Risks & Challenges:

We've spent the past 2 months shelling out our own money for this project and using our limited free time to create the small bit we have so far

Wow, just wow. Worked part time for 2 months, gibe 100k plox.

Could those images be any darker? But yeah, these guys basically have nothing but a vague idea and an engine and want people to just completely fund everything on blind faith. No thanks.

Check out http://levelsorlives.blogspot.com/ for an interesting Metroidvania. This guy already got his Kickstarter funding and think he only asked for $10,000 or less. You can still 'preorder' a copy for $10.

Not so fake edit: Correction, he only wanted $7,500: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/crystalcatacombs/the-crystal-catacombs
